Licensed by the country they operate in, our clients fintech platform provides secure, transparent lending solutions, empowering businesses and investors to achieve their financial goals.
These alternative sources of financing offer SMEs greater flexibility, faster decision-making processes, and tailored financing solutions that align with their unique business needs, while at the same time providing a differentiated asset class for investors.
The ideal candidate will have a strong entrepreneurial mindset, robust knowledge of SME lending, and a well-established business network within the financial services sector. This role requires strategic leadership, a deep understanding of alternative lending, and proven experience in engaging professional and high-net-worth investors.
Responsibilities:
Strategic Execution:
· Drive and execute the company's strategic growth plans, aligning with regional goals.
Operational Oversight:
· Coordinate with the Malaysia team to ensure operational excellence and seamless support for the Singapore office.
Business Development Leadership:
· Build and lead a high-performing business development team to achieve growth targets.
Cross-Functional Collaboration:
· Partner with product, technology, and process improvement teams to enhance platform efficiency and user experience.
Stakeholder Management:
· Establish and nurture relationships with investors, regulatory authorities, and strategic partners to foster a strong ecosystem.
Market Analysis:
· Track industry trends, competitors, and regulatory shifts to proactively identify opportunities and manage risks.
What it takes to be succesful:
Leadership Experience:
Proven track record in managerial roles, demonstrating strategic planning and execution skills to drive business growth.
Lending & Risk Knowledge: Strong understanding of lending principles, risk management, compliance, and regulatory frameworks.
Industry Network: Established connections within financial services or the alternative lending space (preferred).
Tech-Savvy Approach: Ability to understand IT systems and leverage technology to optimize operational efficiency and differentiation.
Entrepreneurial Mindset: Hands-on approach with the flexibility to manage all aspects of the business when needed.
Analytical & Problem-Solving Skills: Strategic thinker with an innovative approach to overcoming challenges.
Communication & Interpersonal Skills: Effective communicator with excellent negotiation skills to engage stakeholders at all levels, including regulators.
Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree in business administration or related field, or relevant experience in financial services (preferred).
