Job Purpose:

This is a 6 months contract role. The job purpose of the Junior Operations Analyst role is to provide support to the Head of Operations in the department daily operations. Undertake designated activities within the department to ensure service standards are achieved and risks managed. Be responsible for carrying out a range of demanding clerical, reconciling, data administration and control / monitoring services and duties, in order to ensure timely delivery of a quality service to clients, other Bank ABC units and departments in line with agreed service standards and within budgets.

Main Responsibilities:

Role Purpose

We are seeking an Assistant Underwriter to join our Singapore Insurance office. This role offers a hybrid work schedule, allowing the option to work remotely up to two days a week. You will support the Property underwriting team in managing new and existing business written by Everest International Insurance. Key Accountabilities

Responsibilities

• Perform preliminary due diligence checks for deal teams for new potential deals.
• Engage in discussions with deal teams to understand and help to troubleshoot on issues that may arise during the document procurement process.
• Drawing up ownership structures, transaction structures and funds flow structures from documents provided by clients.

As a trusted partner, you will be responsible for providing an independent credit risk evaluation of SMBC credit assets in Asia Pacific region. Credit assets include (but not limited to) exposures to Corporates, Banks / Non-Banks Financial Institutions, Structured Real Estate finance, Project Finance, Securitization, and Leveraged Buyout (‘LBO’) as part of the third line of defence function. Responsibilities:-

• Conduct continuous credit reviews of individual borrowers on an ongoing basis, to assess the appropriateness of risk ratings of Obligor Grade and classification of Borrower’s Category for the Bank’s credit assets booked in Asia Pacific, ensuring adherence to internal grading policies.
• To participate as a team member (‘Person in charge’) for assigned On-site credit reviews and / or Thematic review assignments. Focus of these reviews is to assess appropriateness of risk ratings of Obligor Grade assigned / classification of Borrower Category, adequacy of credit underwriting quality including financial projections, and robustness of credit risk management in line with internal policy requirements.
• Provide value-added recommendations to Business Units (BUs) based on potential issues identified in all credit reviews.
• Follow-up on open issues identified and conduct validation review on remediation actions taken by auditee, in accordance with IADAP CRG recommendations and address BUs’ concerns accordingly.

• Strong background in credit risk analysis, financial analysis / projections, and experienced with credit rating models for Large Corporate customers. About the Role

To support the growth strategy of Everest International, we are expanding our Finance team in Singapore with this newly created role.

The primary responsibilities of this role are to support the Finance Operations team, and to manage all accounts payable and accounts receivables tasks. 2. Transaction Screening:

· Transactions monitoring of daily banking operations through the Platform.

· Analyse customers’ profiles through relevant santions, ie. AML and CTF aspects

· Provide applicable risk assessments to transactions, highlighting any key areas for attention and identifying red flags

· Report escalated name screening and/or transaction activities alerts to Compliance Team

· Review and file STR, then assess if further escalation to Group Regulatory Compliance Unit is required

· Conduct CDD, then assess if an Enhanced one is required

· Other activities related to this.

3. Periodic Review:

· Assist RM to ensure the latest data of existing clients are in order and in compliance with the bank’s standard

· Up to date sanctions monitoring of customers’ profiles and transactions

4. Other:

· Liaise with customers directly on information and documents exchange

· Handle post transactions follow up including document archiving

· Track activities’ progress through MIS update and report

· Ensure adherence to Department’s SOP and the Bank’s policies/guidelines.

· Work closely with other Functions/Departments on the daily transactions.

• 1-2 Years Client Services experience in a Bank
• Reasonable understanding of AML, CTF, KYC and CDD
• Familiar with name screening and transaction monitoring

About the Role

To support the growth strategy of Everest International, we are expanding our Finance team in Singapore with this newly created role.

The primary responsibilities of this role are to support the Finance Operations team, and to manage all accounts payable and accounts receivables tasks.

This role will also give you the opportunity to work closely with other departments and functions as well as regional colleagues to support local and regional transformation projects.

Key Accountabilities:

• Invoice Processing – Receive, verify, and process invoices from vendors and suppliers. Ensure all invoices are properly supported and accurately booked to the ledger on a timely basis.
• Expense Reimbursement – Process and review employee reimbursement to ensure it complies with company policies. Expense should be recorded promptly with precision.
• Payment processing – Prepare and execute payment run in SUNS. Ensure all payments are made within agreed terms and compliance with company policies.
  Payments includes but are not limited to invoice, staff reimbursement, reinsurance, return premium, broker brokerage, intercompany and interbank transfer.
• Month End Closing – Assist with month end and year end closing procedures. Which includes preparing accruals, journal entries and audit schedules.
• Prepare intercompany invoices on a quarterly basis, validating expenses before sending to our affiliates.
• Record incoming receipt (UA)
• Maintain and monitor listing of unallocated receipts
• Perform monthly bank reconciliations
• Undertakes any other finance duties as may be assigned.

The candidate will work closely with the IT Risk Management department in all aspects of Identity and Access Management and compliance.

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Work as a technical expert with clients, analysts, programmers and other team members to develop solutions within IAMS.
