RESPONSIBILITIES

JOB REQUIREMENT

Responsibilities:

We’re looking for an experienced, creative Senior Electrical Engineer, recognized for technical expertise, to work independently on various design projects concurrently. Responsibility will include oversight of the entire design process or assisting as a technical expert on a specialized design.

As an experienced electrical you’ll assess the requirements of a project, break it into tasks, and work with a Project Manager to determine the scope of work, budget, and staffing. After assigning work to the project team, you’ll regularly review their progress and alert the PM to any changes in scope. Maintaining quality in accordance with company production and design standards is critical.

Based in Singapore, you will research design options and write electrical design scopes of work based on preliminary reviews and meetings with clients. You’ll also prepare engineering studies and schematic designs for new systems and analyze the operation of existing systems. Some drawings you’ll create yourself, and other sketches will be incorporated into drawings by drafters. You may create specialized drawings such as electrical riser diagrams. Knowledge of local codes and industry-standard equipment and the ability to specify it for proper applications is important. You’ll also do estimating, review contractor

applications for payments, review construction budgets, and coordinate document completion.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor of Engineering Degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited four-year College or University.
• Experience with the design of building electrical systems, such as: building service, power distribution, generators, lighting, fire alarm, security, and other low voltage systems.
• 10+ years of Pharmaceutical, Biotech, Nutraceutical, or Life Science industry experience.
• Experience in computer operation for engineering design programs and computer-aided drafting (ETAP /DiLux /AutoCAD /Revit).
• Good English communication skills.
• Chinese communication skills preferred, but not mandatory.

Preferred Qualifications

• Professional electrical design experience from feasibility and conceptual design through final commissioning and closeout.
• Experience with High Voltage, medium voltage systems, Low voltage, electrical generation and distribution systems, electrical hazardous classified areas, and ELV system such as, Fire alarm PAGA, CCTV, Access control, data & telecommunications systems.
• Strong understanding of the IEEE, IEC, NFPA 72, Singapore Local SP code.

Specific Responsibilities

· Execute the project management duties and ensure all key milestones are met within the schedule.

· Generate the schedule plan to monitor for respective functions responsibilities and project executions milestones.

· Liaise and coordinate with internal and external parties to carry out the implementation works of the project.

· Coordinate and Lead the Site Acceptance Test with customer and ensure all documentations are agreed and endorsed for delivery.

· Schedule and coordinate the on-site testing and ensured smooth transition to the aftermarket team.

· To provide the first level technical support during project execution.

· Involve in project feasibility studies and assist Industrial Solution team to generate project cost estimation in term of project management activities.

· Submit a monthly report on the project status to highlight key issue or concern relating to the project delivery.

· Provide engineering support on 3rd party product and drawings for submittals purpose.

· Liaise with 3rdparty contractors on project execution and implementation matters.

· Supervise and provide guidance to the engineers on execution of projects.

· Takes full leadership of the project management duties and ensures all key milestones are met within the schedule

· Chairs the bi-weekly meeting with respective departments to update and track the project status

· Participate in continuous improvement project.

Qualifications / Requirements

· Degree in Electrical Engineering with 5 - 7 years of relevant experience; or

· Diploma in Electrical Engineering with 8 -10 years of relevant experience.

Description

• Designing, developing, and/or modifying electronic parts, components, or integrated circuitry for use within K&S’ line of semiconductor manufacturing equipment, as well as for use in future design revisions and upcoming product lines;
• Designing electronic systems for processing analog signals within existing hardware components, including integrated circuits, analog-digital (A/D) converters, and digital to analog converters (DACs);
• Designing, testing, and refining microcontrollers and other chip-based components for implementation into manufacturing hardware.
• Designing, developing, and implementing digital electronics systems or components for use within K&S’ proprietary semiconductor manufacturing equipment, such as digital signal processing systems, microcontrollers, serial peripheral interfaces, and similar systems.
• Analyzing equipment to establish operating data, conducting experimental tests and evaluating results with the goal of selecting components and equipment based on analysis of specifications and reliability.
• Carrying out ongoing testing and refinement work related to electrical systems and subsystems, with the objective of evaluating these components’ effectiveness and efficiency (both individually and in the context of the broader systems and products into which they are integrated), as well as to ensure that they are performing as expected and within intended specifications; and preparing and presenting technical reports on designated ongoing electrical development projects.

Responsibilities

• Designing, integration, and debugging of industrial robotics and controls that use motors, solenoids, switches, and sensors combined with microcontrollers, microprocessors, and FPGA’s;
• Designing analog electronics for processing analog signals including OP Amps, A/Ds, and DACs, gain & filter stages, sensors and encoders feedback;
• Designing Digital logic using FPGA (Altera Cyclone), DSP and knowledge on PCIe, Ethernet, EtherCAT;
• Designing interconnections between electronics modules;
• Structuring of parts within an assembly BOM and at the system level; and writing code for debug of embedded control.

Qualifications for Internal Candidates
