• Develop and execute detailed test plans to validate the functionality and appearance of front-end components, ensuring they align with design and performance expectations.
• Conduct a mix of manual and automated testing, with an emphasis on manual testing to keep up with the fast paced release of features.
• Analyze test results and work with developers to troubleshoot issues, identify root causes and suggest improvements.
• Diagnose, document, and collaborate with other developers to resolve front-end issues efficiently.

Basic Qualifications

• Diploma or Degree in IT or a related Engineering field.
• 1+ years of experience in quality assurance or front end testing.
• Familiarity in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, with the ability to understand and manipulate front-end code for testing purposes.
• Detail-oriented with a strong passion for quality and user experience.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and address issues proactively.
• Eagerness to learn advanced skills in automated testing tools and frameworks.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with automated testing tools such as Selenium, Cypress, or similar frameworks.
• Familiarity with version control systems like Git.
• Knowledge of JavaScript frameworks such as React or Angular is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform AML monitoring/review on Trade post-transaction files.
• Review/investigate Trade manual screening alerts and red flag escalated by trade processing team for potential sanction violations in accordance with SMBC policies.
• Ensure that review and investigation conclusions are adequately and properly documented for regulatory/audit level review.
• Coordinate and/or prepare the required management information reporting data as applicable.
• Perform daily batch name screening alert clearance.
• Investigate and report discrepancies and irregularities arising from transactions, system failure, etc and resolve issues including handling stakeholder’s complaints and escalating all issues to Team Lead / Deputy Group Head / Group Head promptly.
• Prepare reports that summarize team activities and quality metrics.
• Collaborate to improve workflow, suggest enhancements, and support the implementation of improvement actions.
• Other tasks as assigned by Group Head / Team Lead.

Requirements

• Bachelors degree
• Minimum 3 years of experience in the banking industry with exposure to AML Screening and/or Trade AML
• Able to link diverse information to build a full picture and spot inconsistencies
• Possesses knowledge of MAS regulation on AML and Sanctions requirements including KYC, Screening.
• Strong team player
• Good communications skills, hands on, independent and proactive in carrying out investigation on customers and/or transactions. Able to work with front office and operation team.
