• To guide and assist a group of students and be the designated point of contact for them in all aspects of their studies and other related areas in James Cook University both administrative and non-administrative matters.
• Work closely with departments that have an impact on the students life during his/her course of studies:Finance and Purchasing
  Learning Centre
  Admissions
  Academic Services & Progressions
  Student Recruitment
  Estate Management
  Information, Communication and Technology
  Attendance Management
  
• Ensure short turnaround time on required coordination for seamless delivery
• Liaise with external agencies as relevant.
• Receive and process student payments.

EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS & RELEVANT EXPERIENCES

• A bachelor degree or diploma with at least two (2) years sales and customer services related working experience.
• Proven sales / customer services track record
• Good organisational, problem solving and administrative skills, including the ability to manage multiple tasks and competing priorities and meet deadlines
• High level of accuracy / eye for details
• Ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships and work productively as part of a team
• Demonstrated ability to be flexible, responsive and work in a changing environment and maintain a positive and professional approach to work

The Executive, Global Experience delivers advice and guidance to academics and students seeking opportunities for global experience, ensuring all products and services adhere to government policies and procedures.

Responsibilities:

The Executive, Global Experience is accountable for:

1. Driving engagement with JCU’s Global Experience offerings by building strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, ensuring products and services meet their needs and expectations.
2. Ensuring the effective management of JCU’s international mobility agreements, ensuring agreements are current, relevant, and aligned with institutional goals, while meeting compliance and reporting standards.
3. Ensuring stakeholders remain well-informed through the delivery of publications, communications and presentations, ensuring information is accurate and meets requirements.
4. Supporting current, prospective students and academic staff throughout their engagement with inbound and outbound Global Experience programs, ensuring accurate documentation, risk management, insurance compliance, and reporting of outcomes.
5. Delivering high level support and expert advice to key internal and external stakeholders ensuring all interactions are professional, customer-focused and achieve measurable outcomes.

Key selection criteria

1. Under-graduate qualifications with a business related major.
2. Broad knowledge of the application of international office in higher education.
3. Demonstrated ability to work under broad supervision and collaborate in a geographically dispersed team, delivering quality performance outcomes and contributing positively to business improvement initiatives.
4. High-level organisational, problem solving and administrative skills, with the ability to prioritise and meet competing deadlines, and an established record of exercising judgement and initiative.
5. Demonstrated high-level verbal communication and interpersonal skills with proven ability to develop relationships and communicate effectively with academic staff, students, and government bodies including stakeholders from varying cultures, countries and backgrounds with respect and integrity.
6. Demonstrated high-level written and digital literacy, utilising a range of communication methods and social media platforms for business promotion, including use of a variety of systems to respond to enquiries, record data accurately and generate and analyse reports.
7. It is a requirement of this position to participate on occasion in operational activity outside of the recognised normal span of hours.

The Regional Manager, Partnerships provides strategic leadership and expertise to measurably increase engagement with the JCU’s global experience programs and develop partnership networks that expand the University’s international presence.

Responsibilities:

The Regional Manager, Partnerships is accountable for:

1. Measurably increasing engagement with JCU global experience programs through provisions of strategic leadership and promotion to University staff and students.
2. Developing and expanding JCU’s network of global experience partners, acting as a key contact and providing informed, customer centric responses to enquiries.
3. Ensuring the delivery of optimal business outcomes for the University by leading and facilitating the global experience programs including but not limited to study abroad program, exchange program, short programs and monitoring of exchange students.
4. Contributing to the achievement of strategic objectives of the Directorate by participating in strategic planning activities and role modelling defined cultures and values.
5. Leading and developing a team to deliver high quality service outcomes through appropriate human resources and performance management, building a culture of teamwork, innovation, and engagement.

Key selection criteria

1. Under-graduate qualifications with a marketing major or significant experience in higher education.
2. Proven strategic management experience in international partnerships, student recruitment and mobility, with accountability for performance and quality management.

6. Demonstrated high-level verbal communication and interpersonal skills with proven ability to maintain working relationships, including demonstrated ability to consult, negotiate and liaise with varying levels of stakeholders to achieve outcomes for the organisation.
7. This position is responsible for the management and leadership of staff.
8. This position may involve occasional domestic and international travel.
9. This position may involve occasional work outside standard working hours.
