The Nanyang Technological University NTI-NTU Corporate Laboratory is seeking to hire a Research Fellow. The selected candidate will innovate hybridized composite materials and thin film coatings.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, planning, and setting up of large-scale chemical vapor deposition (CVD) system.

• Design appropriate experiments for CVD growth of 3D boron nitride (BN) foams.

• Optimize CVD growth parameters to obtain tunable high-quality 3D BN foams.

• Perform and analyze SEM, TEM and Raman and other material characterization.

• Perform thermal characterization and real-application tests.

• Prepare monthly reports and presentations for meetings and project deliverables.

EEE is inviting applications for the position of Senior Research Engineer I. The Senior Research Engineer I (USRP and Experimental Platform Development) will be mainly responsible for the programming on Labview platform to support the USRP based wireless communication systems.

Key Responsibilities:

• Responsible for USRP based wireless communication system building and corresponding platform programming.

• Have solid background on wireless communication, especially for antenna design and microwave transmission.

• Develop Labview based codes, and implement corresponding algorithms in wireless communication systems.

• Prototyping the SS-CPM/PD-NOMA and FH-SCMA/CD-NOMA algorithms into USRP-2974 with NI Labview and test its efficacy in the lab environment.

• To demonstrate the above algorithms in the laboratory with a minimum of 3 nodes, and evaluate the performance of the algorithms.

• Work with team members to ensure smooth integration of various subsystems.

• Document all processes and implementation.

• Manage tasks according to the project schedule.

• Work closely with PI, team members and collaborators to ensure timely and efficient completion of project milestones.

Job Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree and above in Electronic Engineering or related field from a reputable university.

• Diploma with good industry experience may also be considered.

• Experience in embedded software development.

• Proficient and good skill in c programing, able to design corresponding code according to project requirement

• Candidate with knowledge of SCMA, CPM and NOMA would be preferred.

Wee Kim Wee School of Communication and Information (WKWSCI) is hiring a full-time Research Engineer I for a project investigating how information cascades in closed messaging app groups, such as Telegram.

The engineer will be developing and applying machine learning, network analysis, and multimodal data to understand information cascades in closed messaging apps.  The engineer is expected to conduct data mining, network analysis and machine learning on Telegram chats to understand information cascades revolving national issues in closed messaging apps. The engineer will work closely with research project members at WKWSCI, to deliver algorithms that automate user classification and topic modelling, that will later serve as protocols for other topics.

Selected candidate will work closely with Assoc Prof Edson Tandoc Jr.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop solutions for data mining of text and stickers/images/videos on Telegram

• Develop solutions to categorize Telegram users based on network topologies

• Develop machine learning models to predict user roles and information cascade patterns

• Collaborate with other researchers in a multi-disciplinary team, while work independently on given tasks

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct structural analysis and assess the strength and durability of aircraft components, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.
• Utilize Finite Element Analysis (FEA) methods to model and simulate structural behaviour under various loading conditions.
