• Bachelor's degree in a computing discipline (Computer Science, Information Systems, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering or Information Technology).
• Master's degree in a computing discipline would be an added advantage.

We are seeking a passionate and experienced Musical Instructor to join our team. The Musical Instructor will be responsible for teaching students of all ages and skill levels in various musical disciplines, including but not limited to voice, piano, guitar, violin, and music theory. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in music education, excellent communication skills, and the ability to inspire and motivate students to reach their full potential.

Specific responsibilities:

1. Develop and implement lesson plans tailored to the individual needs and goals of each student.

2. Instruct students in proper playing techniques, music theory, sight-reading, and ear training.

3. Maintain accurate records of student progress and attendance.

4. Communicate regularly with students and their parents/guardians to discuss progress, goals, and any concerns.

Technical Skills and Competencies :

1. Designing a comprehensive curriculum that aligns with the student's goals, progresses at an appropriate pace, and covers essential musical concepts and skills.

2. Proficiency in the specific instrument(s) being taught (e.g., piano, guitar, violin) is essential.

3. Proficiency in accurately entering student information, including attendance records, assessment scores, lesson notes, and other relevant data into a digital or paper-based system.

4. The ability to convey information clearly, concisely, and in a manner that is easy for students and parents/guardians to understand.

Job Description

• Responsible for the full spectrum of mechanical and technical operations of the building
• Lead and supervise the Maintenance Team and Term Contractors to deliver high quality standards for building maintenance
• Conducts routine inspection of all offices, guest rooms and public areas to ensure facilities are in good condition and corrective actions are taken accordingly
• Recommends to Management on ad-hoc required improvement projects from time to time
• Manages projects and implements preventive maintenance programmes to ensure the company facilities are well-cared for and adequate to support the company's business operations
• Ensures the building safety is in compliance with all regulations set by the local authorities and conducts investigations for non-compliance and develops corrective actions/plans
• Conduct training, drills and exercises in fire safety and ensures that fire safety requirements set by SCDF are fulfilled
• Responsible for budgetary controls and manages costs effectively for all maintenance works
• Undertake any building related duties that may arise from time to time

Requirements

• At least a Diploma in Mechanical and Electrical Engineering or Facility Management
• Minimum 5 years M&E experience in a similar capacity, preferably in hotel, serviced apartment, or office environment
• Fire Safety Manager Certificate or LEW Certificate will be an advantage. Successful candidate without these qualifications but with the required work experience will be sent for Fire Safety Manager Course.

Evaluation & Assessment

• Provide screening, identification, formal or informal assessments for students with speech, language, communication and feeding needs.
• Identify and prioritise goals for intervention in collaboration with the student/family/caregiver and multidisciplinary team
• Formulate care plans that are outcome based and relevant to students’ goals through planning, implementing, evaluating and managing interventions
• Measure outcomes of treatment and conduct continuous evaluation
• Recommend appropriate alternative and augmentative communication (AAC) devices as necessary
• Collaborate with the parents, teachers and the other allied health professionals to provide multi-disciplinary support to the students

Intervention

• Provide consultation, individual and/or group interventions that will improve students’ functional performance and skills.
• Select and prepare functional activities and recommendations to match students’ skills and interests
• Provide caregiver support to ensure and encourage continuity of intervention at home

Service Administration & Management

• Maintain inventory of resources
• Plan budget allocation and recommend relevant speech and language therapy resources for the school
• Conduct in-house training programs for internal and external stakeholders (eg. teachers / parents / caregivers / volunteers)
• Participate in developing protocols and clinical guidelines to improve services in conjunction with the Head of Student Support/Principal
• Maintain records and documentation of assessment and intervention

Job Specifications

• Possess Degree in Speech Pathology from an institution recognized by the Allied Health Professions Council (AHPC)
• Valid practising certificate with full registration from the Allied Health Professional Council (AHPC)
• Applicants for Senior Therapist position should possess at least 5 years of relevant working experience.
• Prior experience working with special needs children/ adults will be an added advantage
• Good team player with strong communication, interpersonal skills and critical thinking
