Job Purpose:
Responsible for overseeing the operational conduct of workshop staff and providing support to the Operations and Fleet Manager in managing day-to-day work activities efficiently. Responsibilities include maximizing manpower utilization, maintaining productivity levels, and ensuring high efficiency. Additionally, this role entails maintaining all cranes in optimal condition to uphold delivery schedules and budgetary requirements.
Responsibilities:
· Supervise servicemen, resolve conflicts, and handle administrative matters, including managing and enforcing employee discipline from the Fleet.
· Monitor all relevant documents, manage performance evaluations for Fleet Management employees, and oversee workshop daily work progress and service reports for billing.
· Keep Operations and Fleet Manager updated on daily progress and ensure all activities meet deadlines.
· Liaise with purchasers for crane spare parts purchases and ensure adequacy and functionality of equipment and tools for servicemen.
· Coordinate spare parts order as requested by the workshop.
· Manage tasks outside our scope of work with contractors and suppliers such as building, electrical, roofing, oil interceptor etc. as and when required.
· Ensure workshop operations align with organizational objectives and targets.
· Conduct fina checks on cranes before delivery and ensure workshop environment meets WSH practices and regulations.
· Participate and be involved in ISO as member and internal auditor.
· Participate and be involved in Safety committee and Emergency response team.
· Maintain cranes and equipment in optimal condition, scheduling maintenance as needed.
· Ensure efficient use of resources and minimize costs by maximizing fuel efficiency and reducing unexpected repairs.
· Supervise workflow and distribution within the workshop.
· Maintain and update records, including schedules, repairs, licenses, and accident reports.
· Carry out any other task(s) which Management may assign from time to time.
Qualifications:
· At least a Diploma in Engineering
Experience/ Proficiency
· At least 5 years relevant experience in engineering / heavy equipment / workshop environment
· Possess valid Singapore Class 3 Driving License
