Primary Responsibilities

• Assist in preparing budgets for departments and projects.
• Analyze costs and variances against budgets to provide insights and recommendations.
• Monitor performance indicators (KPIs) related to costs and profitability.

• Ensure compliance with tax regulations and prepare tax returns.
• Assist with internal or external audits by providing necessary documentation and explanations.
• Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable processes.
• Perform account reconciliations to ensure accuracy and completeness of records.
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards (GAAP/IFRS) and governmental regulations.
• Conduct financial analysis to inform strategic decision-making.
• Manage and process payroll, ensuring adherence to legal and regulatory requirements.
• Provide financial advice and support to management to improve profitability and financial performance.

Job Requirement

• Minimum education of Bachelor degree in Accounting
• Minimum of 5 years in accounting management experience in a similar capacity
• Knowledgeable and proven experience in accounting from hospitality industry is highly regarded
• Have a positive attitude toward challenges and the drive to excel
• Possess professional disposition with excellent communication and interpersonal

Key Responsibilities

• Increase corporate client base through consistent solicitations while establishing trust and rapport with clients to generate and boost revenues for the hotels
• Identify new markets segments and business opportunities, and pro-actively gather market and customer information
• Review own sales performance and negotiate terms and agreements, and work towards closing sales.
• Utilise various forms of communication such as email, phone or online social media to develop relationships with clients.
• Develop relationship with guests/customers and ensure quality service delivered in accordance to company's standards.
• Prepare weekly sales report and assist in annual sales budget for management approval.
• Co-ordinate with internal customers in meeting external customers’ requirements.
• Follow-up with clients' on proposal, contracts, reservation, payment, etc.

Skills Requirements

• Proficient in prospecting, negotiation and managing customers relationship
• Demonstrate initiative and enterprising behaviours, results oriented and self-motivated
• Display critical thinking and analytical skills
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and spoken

• IT savvy preferably with OPERA system knowledge

You will be part of the team to plan and provide Hospitality Services for visitors to events organised by Experia Events Pte Ltd. Scope of work will include but not limited to the following:

• As an effective lead to oversee the planning and management of hospitality for hosted VIPs and dignitaries, including air travel and hotel accommodation.
• Liaise closely with local and foreign government bodies (e.g. ministries, statutory boards, embassies), and commercial vendors to ensure hosted guests have a positive experience.
• Develop a strong network of service providers and partners, building good rapport, and maintaining high level of communication with stakeholders.
• Navigate complex hospitality issues and find effective solutions that meet the needs, expectations, and standards of end-to-end hospitality for visiting delegations.
• Contract and appoint official hospitality vendors (e.g. travel agent, hotels) for hosted delegations.
• Maintain a strong awareness of hospitality industry developments and trends to ensure the provision of high standards, innovation, and efficient hospitality for events.
• Constantly review processes and procedures and make recommendations to the Management to improve operating efficiency.
• Form and train effective support teams comprising interns/temp staffs to support the hospitality aspect for key events.
• Manage the administration and finance for the hospitality provisions for events.
• Assist in running Experia Hospitality Services, including but not limited to setting up administrative procedures and processes to manage partners, customers, and operations.
• Support the planning and execution of events and activities that promote our services.

Requirements:

• Degree or Diploma holder. Applicants with experience in related field may have an advantage in their application.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to multi-task and prioritize effectively.
• A proactive and flexible attitude, with a willingness to take on new challenges and learn on the job.
• Proficient in MS Office, particularly in MS Excel and MS PowerPoint.
• Write and converse well in English. Able to communicate comfortably with foreigners.
• Willingness to work long hours a few weeks prior to events.

Reporting directly to Finance Manager, the incumbent will be responsible for but not limited to the following duties:

• To be responsible for the efficient and effective operation of the Account Payable section.
• To ensure the mathematical accuracy, legitimacy and completeness of the transaction before filing them by Supplier name, awaiting payment.
• To prepare certain expense analyses.
