JOB REQUIREMENTS:

• Degree in Biomedical/Material Science or relevant discipline.

Summary of the Job: (Primary function of the job)

· Produce complete control solution and software design base on customer specification and Sys-Mac standardized practice

· PLC based software control design & HMI software design

· Integration of third-party equipment’s and components into software design

Example data communication, barcode scanner, motion control, Robot Controllers, vision system and signal conditional

Job Description:

· Developing and troubleshooting PLC & HMI/ SCADA program

· Developing and integration with MES or Database systems.

· Troubleshooting communications with MES or database.

· Troubleshooting electrical components & system control

· Prepare Machine I/O, flow chart, interface time chart, data allocation list, setup procedure and software code

· Documentation of machine operation manual for the project

· Liaise with the Customer, Design and Project Engineer for the software development and execution of the project

· Execute Engineering Change Notice (ECN) for change of software

· Maintain proper project documentation

· Provide training to End users and technicians.

· Adhere to all health and safety rules and procedures

Job Requirements:

· Min. Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering/ Electronics/ Automation Control or equivalent

· Min. 5 years relevant experience in Automation project

· Experience in PLC programming & SCADA design is a must

· Knowledge of Mitsubishi, Allen-Bradley, SCADA (WinCC, Ignition)

· Knowledge of C++, C#, .NET is an added advantage

· Knowledge of robot programming is an added advantage

· Able to perform assigned task independently or through team activities

· Self- motivated, resourceful and organized

· Willing to travel overseas for assignments at short notice

· Good interpersonal communication skills

Responsibilities:

• Leads, interfaces and provides direction for field engineering for system wide MEICA works which include Odour Control & Air Jumper Facilities and Site Wide Instrumentation Monitoring for DTSS2.
• Site supervision and commissioning of the system wide MEICA works including coordination and interface with the Tunnel and Link Sewer contractor.,
• Ensures the Contractor provides consistent quality of works in accordance with approved drawings and contract specifications.
• Resolves construction and commissioning related issues raised by Client/Contractors.
• Monitors and reports on daily, weekly and monthly work progress and safety records.
• Responsible for the review and approval of Contractor submissions which include, but not limited to reports, RFIs, claims, specification, calculations and drawings.
• Ensure consistent and thorough submittal reviews of the Contractors’ submission have been done throughout the submittal approval process.
• Attendance in meetings, discussions with clients, contractors and to lead in interface, technical and progress discussions; and preparation of meeting notes.
• Monitor Contractor’s progress and schedule and cost performance.
• Assess and check on RTOs’ certification on the value of work completed and recommend progress payments to be made to Contractor.
• Ensures that records of all works including but not limited to tests, inspections, and minutes of site meetings are filed in the DTSS2 Project Information Management System.
• Maintains a high profile in HSES by active participation in HSES audits, inspections and reviews.
• Promotes a near-miss reporting culture and ensure lessons learnt from these near misses are shared across the program.

Qualifications:

• A good Degree in Mechanical Engineering
• Registered with the BCA and accredited with the Joint Accreditation Committee (JAC) of the Institution of Engineers Singapore (IES) and the Association of Consulting Engineers Singapore is preferred
• About 8 years of relevant experience in Odour/Water/Wastewater Treatment Plant Project and familiar with process mechanical and building services related works.
• Experience in managing and administering engineering work in multiple-contract environment
• Conversant with local building codes, M&E Codes of Practices and regulations
• Good supervisory skills
• Strong letter and report writing ability
