The Louis Dreyfus Company Internship Program 2025 is a six-month program that provides students an opportunity to gain hands-on experience in commodity trading industry. The program is designed to equip interns with foundational knowledge and professional skills in one of the company’s business platforms.

As an FFS Intern, you will be introduced to and become an integral part of our Food & Feed Solutions (FFS) team. You will work with experienced professionals in FFS team and interact with colleagues to gain insight into the commodity industry. You will be given the opportunity to collaborate with various stakeholders to develop your own sense of the working environment in the business platform.

Internship duration:

• Between Jan to June 2025

Main Responsibilities:

• Participate in daily commercial and marketing discussion of the desk
• Analyze and enhance logistics related flow
• Develop and strengthen current research processes
• Participate in desk activity data management

Requirements:

• Degree in Economics, Engineering, Computer Science or any other fields of study
• Strong in numerical, verbal, and written communication skills
• Ability to handle multiple responsibilities and to prioritize
• Self-starter with ability to work independently and to take initiative, proactive attitude toward problems
• Ability to work in a high-pressure atmosphere

• Proficient in programming language (Python, R, etc) and PowerBI

• Main support towards on-going projects related to marketing automotive services in the Asia-pacific region
• Market research of automotive trends and technology to form a strategy of product services offerings for Asia-pacific region
• Benchmark existing services programs and methodologies and propose recommended improvements to identify growth areas
• Support in the definition of online training strategies and development of training modules for China, Australia and ASEAN
• Monitor and evaluate training and helpdesk program’s effectiveness, success and ROI periodically and report on them
• Handles regional reporting for Technical Services Portfolio

1.    To perform Data Analysis and Reporting

• Analyse and generate reports of Asia Pacific data on Customer Backlog (CBL) 
• Work with Sales Logistics Customer Interface Team to ensure data quality and track the progress of CBL   
• Perform data validation, identify the root cause and resolves issues to improve the order fulfilment rate and overall impact on customer service level 
• Write complex SQL queries to extract, transform, and aggregate data from large databases efficiently. 
• Utilize Common Table Expressions (CTEs) to create temporary result sets and simplify query readability. 
• Leverage Window functions to perform advanced analytical operations, such as ranking, partitioning, and aggregations, within SQL queries.
• Optimize SQL queries for performance by using appropriate indexing strategies and query execution plans.
• Employ various JOIN operations (INNER JOIN, LEFT JOIN, FULL OUTER JOIN) to merge data from multiple database tables efficiently.
• Create subqueries and correlated subqueries when necessary to retrieve specific subsets of data.
• Implement conditional logic and CASE statements within SQL queries to handle complex data transformations.
• Continuously optimize SQL queries for performance, scalability, and maintainability. 
• Monitor and tune database performance to ensure efficient data retrieval.

2.    To build and enhance dashboards to support Process Automation

• Build and enhance Power BI dashboards with existing databases (SQL database, etc.) on different Order To Cash (O2C) topics.
• Maintain and improve current Power BI dashboards, including enhancing SQL scripts in databases and DAX measures in Power BI.
• Provide technical support to resolve data-related issues and troubleshoot problems in dashboards, and reports.
• Develop Python scripts to streamline and automate manual data transformation processes. 
• Identify repetitive data preparation tasks and create reusable Python scripts to perform data cleansing, formatting, and aggregation. 
• Continuously optimize and enhance Python scripts for performance, scalability, and efficiency.

3.    Cross-Functional Collaboration

• Collaborate and align with central departments/stakeholders to support in achieving sales target
• Manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring timely delivery of data analysis and reporting solutions. 
• Collaborate with project stakeholders to define project scope, objectives, and deliverables.

• Assist in Service Management and Quality Management activities on BU and Department level.
• Coordinating within different departments under the BU to ensure various process tasks are handled on time.
• Scheduling, conducting, and participating in monthly QM and SM meetings and taking meeting minutes.
• Follow-up with the respective service teams to update the required information in the OPL within the due date.
• Generate the relevant reports on BU and department level.
• Generate additional reports if requested by PSO.
