The Role
Reporting directly to the Group HR Manager, your primary role will be to manage and oversee the payroll operations for 9 countries within the Asia-Pacific region.
You will be the backbone of ensuring that payroll processes are carried out with accuracy, punctuality, and in compliance with auditing standards. Your expertise will contribute significantly to the efficiency and reliability of our HR department, ensuring all employees are compensated correctly and on time.
Role Summary
- Oversee payroll management for 9 APAC countries, ensuring accuracy, punctuality, and audit compliance.
- Review, validate, and reconcile payroll in accordance with regulations, policies, and deadlines.
- Conduct data cleanup for funding requirements and act as the person in charge of providing all regional salary details to external auditors for funding requirements.
- Prepare and submit payroll, statutory, and income tax reports for Singapore and Malaysia.
- Maintain payroll documentation and update HR system data.
- Enhance processes through digitization, automation, and participation in simplification projects.
- Oversee and administer regional insurance duties, and manage related activities on SharePoint.
- Conduct data cleanup for funding requirements and act as the person in charge of providing all regional salary details to external auditors for funding requirements.
- Perform any ad hoc duties as directed by the Reporting Manager.
The Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in any discipline.
- Minimum of 2 years of solid experience in handling regional payroll administration, showing a track record of managing complex payroll tasks across different countries.
- Strong capability to work under pressure and make critical decisions swiftly in scenarios with tight deadlines.
- Excellent communication, writing, and interpersonal skills, with proficiency in Mandarin to effectively communicate with Chinese stakeholders and counterparties.
