The Centre for Quantum Technologies (CQT) in Singapore brings together physicists, computer scientists and engineers to do basic research on quantum physics and to build devices based on quantum phenomena. Experts in this new discipline of quantum technologies are applying their discoveries in computing, communications, and sensing.
CQT is hosted by the National University of Singapore. The Centre also has staff at the Agency for Science, Technology and Research, Nanyang Technological University, Singapore, and the Singapore University of Technology and Design. Job Description

The candidate will work on mathematical foundations of quantum information measures, e.g., exploring integral formulae for relative entropies and on axiomatic derivations of quantum information measures. In this role he will also help supervise students and junior postdocs working on these topics.

Responsibilities

• Act as the primary point of contact for clients, working closely with them to understand and diagnose business challenges, troubleshoot issues, and escalate as necessary.
• Research and develop solutions for common business and operational challenges; create and maintain a comprehensive knowledge base that empowers clients to address routine issues independently.
• Implement preventive measures and solutions to streamline service delivery, including developing best practices, guidelines, and checklists to improve response to recurring challenges.
• Generate reports and analyze client data to identify trends and insights, providing actionable recommendations that shape future business processes and service offerings.

Qualifications:

• Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in any field. Strong interest in working with computer applications and software.
• 5-7 years of proven experience in a Business Analyst or similar role, preferably within professional services or client-facing environments.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to quickly understand and resolve complex business challenges.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, capable of articulating business and technical solutions to both clients and internal teams.
• Proficient in data analysis and reporting tools, with experience in delivering insights to support business decisions.
• Self-motivated and able to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Familiarity with professional services workflows, as well as experience with Agile or Scrum methodologies, is a plus.
