Region Director, Data Center Operations, OCI - Be a part of our organization supporting hyperscale distributed infrastructure for the cloud. Oracle’s Data Center team is rapidly expanding with new regions and sites across APAC. We’re looking for an experienced leader, with strong people management experience, business acumen and a well-rounded IT technical abilities (at scale) to lead the teams responsible for building and supporting our cloud data centers in the Asia.

Work with a world class team to develop, implement, and support cutting edge Oracle technology. Manages teams supporting and/or implementing multi functional and/or multi-location projects and/or systems. Defines, documents and manages scope, expectations, implementation approach, deliverables and acceptance testing criteria. Develops and manages an effective risk mitigation strategy for the project(s). Assists in the development of short, medium, and long term plans to achieve strategic objectives. Regularly interacts across functional areas with senior management or executives to ensure unit objectives are met. Ability to influence thinking or gain acceptance of others in sensitive situations. Successful track record as a manager. Detailed knowledge of technical and business concepts of a number of related applications areas.

• Not only does this job involve running existing sites and their exponential growth but also involves bringing online our new regions in new territories, quickly, efficiently in a repeatable fashion.

• Lead and manage teams responsible for the availability of the Oracle’s Cloud Infrastructure in data centers as well as assist teams in bringing new regions online.
• This involves managing the physical sites, the teams that operate these sites, and managing the colocation partners we may use.
• This role is a manager of managers and as such you should be an experienced manager of diverse teams, able to navigate local customs, laws & employment directives, strong people management ability and a deep technical grounding in the physical aspects of IT Service Delivery.

Typical functions for day to day in the role are:

• Manage the day-to-day operations of all Data Center sites under your area, in a 24/7 mission critical environment.
• Responsible for ensuring timely delivery of services/tasks to meet project milestones.
• Working with project managers to guide their actions and provide ‘on-the-ground’ advice / support.
• Ensuring the quality benchmark is upheld for new sites / regions / deployments and being the gate keeper of this.
• Driving the delivery of improvements and providing detailed, concrete feedback in project reviews / lesson learned activities.
• Interacting across functional areas and teams (e.g., Engineering, Build, Site Selection, Business Operations etc.).
• Reacting to and managing any incidents that occur, driving resolution and After-Action analysis.
• Capacity expansions at all scales (rack additions, block additions, whitespace growth, new sites).
• Drive appropriate recruitment in different countries at a fast pace, ensuring the employment of high-quality team members with a passion for excellence.
• Driving a culture of continual improvement and learning throughout everything you do.

Duties and Responsibilities

You will perform all acts, duties and obligations as may be designated by the Company. The nature of these tasks will be typical for those of a financial services company, including but not limited to:

• Source, assess, structure and execute private markets transactions incl. due diligence work, financial modelling and related administrative tasks.
• Regularly monitor, track and assess private markets portfolio transactions.
• Prepare internal and external transaction related documents.
• Support the development of the private markets team with the aim to improve and adjust processes.
• Support the acquisition and management ofclients for the Company.
• Market the Company, its services and private market transactions to clients and potential clients.
• Help administer the clients’ as well as Company matters.
• Maintain high client satisfaction when performing your tasks.

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience in equity research, investment banking, or other related financial services role.
• Strong interest in private equity, venture capital, growth equity, and M&A.
• Experience writing long-form research a plus.
• Critical thinker
• Demonstrable analytical capabilities, including strong quantitative/modeling skills.
• Detail-oriented and analytical mindset.

Responsibilities:

• Spearhead the development and delivery of innovative solutions to address complex business challenges across diverse disciplines and business units.
• Act as the primary representative for the organization in advocating digital transformation strategies, particularly in large sales opportunities and strategic growth initiatives across the Asia Pacific region.
• Assume overall accountability for the design and development of comprehensive operational and technical solutions aimed at driving outcome-based results for clients.
• Lead the formulation of bid and solution strategies, designs, and cost structures, typically managing Total Contract Value (TCV) of $10 million and above.
• Collaborate closely with sales and delivery teams to ensure seamless transition from solution design to implementation, maintaining a focus on client satisfaction and business objectives.

Requirements:

• Develop and implement IT/digital solutions to address business challenges.
• Experienced in both waterfall and agile software development methodologies.
• Expertise in IT Service Management (ITSM) and IT Operations Management (ITOM) solutions such as ServiceNow, MicroFocus, and BMC.
• Knowledgeable in Artificial Intelligence for IT Operations (AIOps) and Robotic Process Automation (RPA).
• Familiarity with Internet of Things (IoT) technologies and their applications.
• Proficient in network management, including WAN and LAN technologies.
• Ability to analyze and derive insights from data analytics for informed decision-making.
• Experienced in managing platforms and operating systems including Windows, Linux, and VMWare.
• Proficiency in Software as a Service (SaaS) applications like Jira, Confluence, and Salesforce.
