Main Responsibilities:

• Routine Maintenance: Performing regular inspections and preventative maintenance on hotel equipment, such as HVAC systems, electrical systems, plumbing, and kitchen appliances. Ensuring that all equipment and systems operate efficiently to prevent breakdowns.
• Repairs and Troubleshooting: Identifying and fixing electrical, plumbing, mechanical, and other technical problems in guest rooms and public areas. Troubleshooting malfunctioning equipment and performing repairs to resolve issues promptly.
• Emergency Response: Handling emergency repairs, such as water leaks, power outages, or broken equipment. Responding quickly to maintenance requests to ensure guest safety and comfort.
• Managing Building Systems: Monitoring the operation of building management systems (BMS), which may include HVAC, lighting, security, and fire protection systems. Adjusting settings and controls as necessary to maintain optimal building conditions.
• Assisting with Renovations and Installations: Supporting room renovations, upgrades, and refurbishments by handling electrical work, plumbing adjustments, or carpentry tasks. Installing new equipment, fixtures, or appliances as needed.
• Record-Keeping and Reporting: Documenting completed maintenance tasks and repairs in logs or maintenance management systems. Reporting major issues to supervisors or management for further action.
• Compliance and Safety Standards: Ensuring compliance with local building codes, safety regulations, and hotel policies. Following safety protocols for handling hazardous materials, using protective equipment, and working in potentially dangerous environments.
• General Facility Upkeep: Performing tasks such as painting, carpentry, and minor construction to keep the hotel in good condition. Assisting in maintaining outdoor areas, including gardens, pools, and parking lots.
• Energy Management: Implementing energy-saving initiatives, such as adjusting HVAC settings, fixing water leaks, and maintaining lighting systems. Monitoring utility usage to ensure efficient operation.

Experience and Qualifications Required:

• Minimum 3 years coliving/hotel technician experience
• Technical skills in electrical works, plumbing, fixing appliances, fixing furniture etc.
• Fluent in spoken and written English (Mandarin or Malay is a bonus)
• Excellent problem solving and time management skills
• Project management skills
• Hands on repair and maintenance skill is a must
• Driver’s license

-Collect the spare parts from the warehouse store based on the daily job indicated on the tablet.

-Troubleshoot and resolve issues on malfunctioned HVAC systems.

-Wash and clean all dismantled parts to improve efficiency and air quality.

-Refill refrigerants by replenishing and fixing leaks as needed.

-Communicate with clients with regards to problems in equipment and post-jobs reports.

-Ensure safe-keeping of hand tools and maintain good housekeeping.

-Must wear personal protective equipment (PPE) when necessary (e.g. googles, earplugs, respirators, safety harnesses, safety shoes, helmets, sunscreen)

-Ensure all works are carried out safely in accordance with safety procedures and practicing of Workplace Safety and Health (WSH) Act.

Provide technical advice and assistance on all maintenance functions.

-Prepare service reports after every completed job for customer's endorsement.

-Handle any ad-hoc projects and duties assigned by reporting manager and/or management.

Job Requirements:

-Possess a Singapore Class 3 license will be an added advantage.

-Minimum Nitec / NTC 2 or 3 certificates in Electrical, Mechanical or Electronic field.

-At least 1 year of working experience in the related field; with maintenance experience in HVAC, refrigeration & M&E systems.

-Positive attitude, good interpersonal & customer-service skills

-Experience in air-conditioning repair & maintenance.

-Strong knowledge/experience in HVAC or ACMV systems for residential or commercial sectors.

-Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team.
