Job Scope

To attend / carry out various types of survey on board ship and sites on cargo, cargo measuring equipment and marine related activities.

To perform marine survey onboard vessels and cargo inspection on sites in order to assess and report on their condition for insurance claim.

To verify the equipment onboard vessel to ensure compliance with various standards or specifications.

Job Requirement

Nitec/ITE related in marine or Diploma in Nautical, Maritime Studies, Marine Engineering or Marine related from a local polytechnic/private institution.

Experience onboard vessel will be an advantage.

Prepare to work at irregular hours including Public Holidays due to ship schedule.

We are seeking a highly motivated and analytical individual to join our team as a Executive - Land & General Management under the direct supervision of the CEO. This role is designed to provide comprehensive exposure to the executive management function, with a primary focus on strategy execution, research, report generation, and analysis. The ideal candidate will be a strategic thinker with strong research and analytical skills, capable of supporting the CEO in driving organizational goals and initiatives.

Responsibilities

1. Strategy Execution:

• Assist the CEO in the development, implementation, and monitoring of strategic plans.
• Coordinate with various departments to ensure alignment with strategic objectives.
• Track and report on the progress of strategic initiatives and projects.

2. Analysis:

• Perform detailed financial, operational, and strategic analysis.
• Identify opportunities for improvement and provide recommendations.
• Support the CEO in evaluating business performance and strategic outcomes.

3. Research:

• Conduct thorough research on industry trends, market conditions, and competitor activities.
• Prepare detailed reports and presentations based on research findings.
• Stay informed about developments within the industry to provide actionable insights.

4. Report Generation:

• Develop comprehensive reports for executive meetings, board presentations, and other key stakeholders.
• Ensure accuracy and clarity in all reports and presentations.
• Gather and analyze data to support decision-making processes.

5. Project Management:

• Manage special projects as assigned by the CEO, ensuring timely completion and high-quality results.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to achieve project objectives.

6. Communication:

• Facilitate communication between the CEO and other senior executives, departments, and external stakeholders.
• Prepare and review internal and external communications.

Requirements

• Degree in business administration, Management, Economics, or a related field.
  • Preferably at-least 1-2 years of experience, open to fresh graduates with similar internship experience
  • Strong analytical and research skills with the ability to synthesize complex information.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) and data analysis tools.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • High level of discretion and confidentiality.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Handle full sets of accounts (AP, AR and G/L) including preparation of journal entries, Balance Sheets, Income Statements & other reporting schedules.
• Responsible for inter-company billing, bank reconciliations and preparation of year-end financial statements.
• Assist in preparing the annual budgets and monthly update of forecasts.
• Maintain and update records for fixed assets including the provision of depreciation according to accounting policy.
• Prepare and submit quarterly GST and BAS return.
• Prepare bank instructions, fund transfers and process online payments.
• Perform and provide the analysis and interpretation of financial results/performance.
• Liaise with external parties and auditors for yearly audit and to provide all required schedules/reports for audit and tax purpose.
• Assist in various ad hoc finance projects and initiatives.

Requirements:

• Degree/Diploma in Accountancy or equivalent.
• Minimum 2 - 3 years’ relevant experience.
• Solid hands-on experience in preparing full set of accounts.
• Detail-oriented and able to work under tight deadlines.
• Good analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Strong working knowledge of accounting principles (FRS) and proficiency in financial accounting.
• Fluent with MS office applications.
• Resourceful and able to adapt in fast paced environment.
• Possess the right positive “can do” attitude.
• Experience in consolidation is a plus.
• Able to start immediately/short-notice.
