The Senior Legal Counsel will play a key role in the continued global growth and expansion of NEON.
Based in Singapore, this role offers excellent career development and personal growth with global exposure across multiple industries and jurisdictions. You will be challenged by a wide variety of simulating work and will require superb communication and engagement skills to manage multiple internal and external stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities include:
- Legal Advice – Provide legal advice to stakeholders and business units on a wide range of corporate commercial matters, draft, review, negotiate and advise on agreements related to transactions, procurement, inter-company matters, construction, employment, compliance, intellectual property, and other corporate matters.
- Risk Management & Problem Solving - Manage the company’s risk whilst maintaining a competitive business environment. Anticipate, identify, and solve legal problems.
- Policies & Procedures - Develop and implement policies and procedures related to corporate governance, regulatory compliance, and business operations.
- Project Management – Instruct and work closely with external counsels, liaise with both internal stakeholders and external parties to ensure timely desired outcome.
Requirements & Attributes:
- A J.D., L.L.B. or equivalent law degree with 10 to 15 years of legal and compliance experience with a good mix of private practice in a good law firm and in-house experience in a corporate commercial role.
- Experience working in or supporting Singapore and other global markets with a background in corporate, transactional and corporate secretarial work.
- Litigation / disputes experience would be advantageous.
- Excellent communication and drafting skills. Ability to speak, read and draft at a high level is a must.
- Superior stakeholder engagement skills, able to communicate clearly and effectively with key stakeholders and team members.
- A team-player with an ability to work with colleagues from different teams and able to work independently and self-manage competing priorities under deadlines with minimal supervision as part of in-person and virtual teams.
- Strong analytical skills and proven ability to apply sound, principled, and consistent judgment in diverse and challenging legal, business and cultural environments. Consultative and collaborative in reaching well-thought-through solutions.
- An ability to balance legal risk and business needs. Comfortable with ambiguity and change, unruffled by uncertainty.
