Job Requirement
Education: Minimum Diploma in the Engineering (M&E) discipline or equivalent
Accredited by IES/ACES and with valid RTO Certification
Position Level: Senior Executive
Minimum Experience: 5 Years
Employment Type: Contract
Estimated Contract Period: 30 Months (estimated start from the mid of Feb 2025)
Working hours: Mondays to Fridays: 8.30 am to 6 pm (with 1 hour of lunch break)
Job Description
1) To represent the Qualified Person (QP) on-site to supervise the works following local legislation and authority regulations.
2) To supervise the execution of the works and maintain quality control and ensure that the works are carried out following the contract specifications, drawings, all other contract documents, site instructions.
3) To assist the QP in all aspects relating to the construction of the projects, keeping and reviewing the record of works progress, materials, equipment at the site, variation works, tests reports, inspections, provisional quantities, dayworks, etc, monitoring schedules, observe and comply with site safety of contractors, and submitting all reports to the QP. Attend all site, progress, variation, and coordination meetings and keep proper minutes of these meetings relating to the projects and other duties as directed by the QP from time to time
4) To check shop drawings, samples, etc submitted by contractors.
5) To provide full support and assistance to the QP in ensuring that their instructions are communicated effectively, and works are being carried out following instructions from time to time.
6) To assist the QP in the review of the contractor’s proposed method statement and working procedure and to verify that they are properly executed on site.
7) To assist the QP in verifying the works done and variations claimed by contractors in their request for progress payments.
8) To verify all reports and claims submitted by contractors.
9) To check all drawings and specifications for discrepancies and report to the QP.
10) To ensure that works are carried out safely and properly inspect completed works and report on defects.
11) To assist the QP in preparing site instructions for contractors as well as a list of defects of any completed works. To avoid doubt, he shall not issue instructions involving cost or time to Contractors.
12) To check the quality of materials delivered to the site and report to QP any materials that do not conform to the specifications.
13) To monitor the progress of rectification works and ensure all defects are satisfactorily rectified.
14) To inspect and assist with handing/taking over completed works.
15) To assist the QP in ensuring full documentation of warranties and test reports are being submitted.
16) To verify all as-built drawings submitted by contractors against actual works done on-site and ensure
contractors rectify all discrepancies in the submitted as-built drawings. He shall ensure a complete and correct set of as-built drawings for the projects is handed over to the QP.
17) To prepare daily reports, and any presentation slides for all the projects whenever required.
18) assist QP on the tender site show round events for all the related contracts whenever required.
19) To prepare weekly reports on the status and progress of the project. The report shall comprise clear photos of M&E services installation, testing reports, etc.
