Research Assistant/Associate Policy Analyst – Population Health

The Saw Swee Hock School of Public Health (SSHSPH) at the National University of Singapore (NUS) is recruiting a Research Assistant/Associate Policy Analyst. The rapid population ageing in Singapore calls for innovative solutions. We aim to assess the impact of health promotion programmes (e.g. urban care farming, cognition training, etc) on the health and health-related behaviours of participants. This project will involve recruitment, assessment, and analysis of the research data. The candidate will also be working on models in policy evaluation. This is a full-time position based in Singapore.

Duties may include but are not limited to: (1) provide programming support to a research project (2) assist with recruitment and data analyses; (3) manage large complex databases; (4) conduct literature reviews (5) contribute to the development of scientific papers and the dissemination of the study findings.

The appointed candidate should: (1) Hold at least a bachelor degree (2) be proficient in Stata or R and (3) have experience in statistics, mathematics, econometrics, computer science, quantitative social science, public health, epidemiology or related field. Experience with C++ is preferred but not required.

The ideal candidate should demonstrate the ability to query large data sets and have excellent knowledge of quantitative methods in applied health and/or social sciences. Fluency in English, as well as demonstrably good writing and analytic skills are essential. Our Client is a SGX Listed company in Hospitality industry. Due to business needs, they are now recruiting a Regional Internal Audit Assistant Manager to be part of their Internal Audit team for ongoing transformation projects. They are located in the West Area - easily accessible.

Roles and Responsibilities for Regional Internal Audit Assistant Manager:

• Conduct assigned audit tasks as directed by the Head of Group Internal Audit or a delegate.
• Evaluate, document, and test internal controls within business processes to identify opportunities for improvement.
• Prepare detailed work papers that support audit findings and conclusions.
• Confidently communicate audit results to management.
• Draft concise, accurate, and relevant audit reports.
• Offer technical support to junior team members when needed.
• Recommend improvements to audit procedures by integrating data analytics.
• Assist in handling whistle-blower complaints as directed.
• Perform additional audit reviews and tasks as assigned.

Requirements:

• Degree in related field
• Minimum of 5 years' internal audit experience in corporate setting
• Experience in listed company and Certified Internal Auditor is a bonus
• Comfortable with extensive travel

Key Responsibilities:

• Samples preparation and product testing to support fragrance projects and product development for all types of Laundry care, cosmetics, personal care and Fine fragrance products.
• Monitor the application tests and evaluate its stability in term of both olfactive and appearance
• Perform test (stability, pH and viscosities) and application of fragrance for evaluation
• Participate in panel testing of fragranced products
• Observe the durability of the samples and report on abnormality
• Assist in formulating new bases, policies and procedures
• Operate, maintain, calibrate and sterilize laboratory equipment and work areas
• Maintain and ensure a clean and safe laboratory environment and workplace

Qualification:

• Diploma in Chemical Process Technology or equivalent in years of similar experience
