Landfill Management and Operations Department (LMOD) oversees Semakau Landfill which is Singapore’s only landfill for waste disposal.

What you will be working on

The job description of an EE/SEE at Semakau Landfill (SL) are as follow:

• To supervise resident contractor in landfill operation, the operation and maintenance (O&M) of landfill equipment, vehicles and floating platform, and to ensure high availability of the landfill equipment to meet operational targets.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Design and Improvement of Management Accounting Processes:
   • Design, implement, and continuously improve management accounting processes.
   • Build efficient data collection and reporting mechanisms through collaboration with various departments.
2. Budget Planning and Variance Management:
   • Formulate annual budgets and conduct quarterly budget reviews.
   • Perform variance analysis between actual results and budgets, identify causes, and propose improvement measures.
3. Financial Reporting and Analysis:
   • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports and present them to the management team.
   • Analyze financial data to identify trends and risks, and provide strategic recommendations.
4. Cost Management and Efficiency Improvement:
   • Manage costs of development projects and identify opportunities for cost reduction.
   • Support efficient resource allocation and enhance project profitability.
5. Cross-Functional Collaboration:
   • Strengthen collaboration with development, sales, marketing, and other departments to support company-wide financial strategies.
   • Work with the IT department to optimize management accounting systems.
6. Team Building:
   • Manage team members and tasks to make excellent performance and keep stable operations

Required Qualifications and Experience:

• Over 5 years of practical experience in finance and accounting.
• Knowledge and practical experience in management accounting.
• Advanced Excel skills and experience with financial analysis tools.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Business-level proficiency in Japanese and English.

Preferred Qualifications and Experience:

• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or equivalent qualification.
• Financial experience in the IT industry or development department.
• Experience using ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, etc.).

Your Key Responsibilities

As a Manager in the Risk Management – Financial Crime Compliance team, you are required to lead and grow a team and to provide strategic sourcing services related to regulatory compliance, Financial Crime Compliance (FCC), corporate governance, enterprise risk management, internal controls and internal audit, to our clients in financial services (FSO) industry. To Qualify for the role, you must have

• Min 6 years of relevant Financial Crime Compliance (AML/CFT, Sanctions, Anti-Bribery & Corruption and Fraud) risk management, compliance experience in banking, insurance, asset management, and/or in a big public accounting firm; 5 – 8 years relevant Financial Crime Compliance risk management, compliance experience in banking, insurance, asset management, and/or in a big public accounting firm
• At least 4 years' experience in delivery of FCC-related technology projects, such as payments screening, transaction monitoring, and/or customer risk rating systems preferably at a large/complex financial institution.
• Strong understanding of expectations of regulators such as MAS and HKMA. Knowledge of other major jurisdictions in ASEAN and practical experience in the industry a plus.
• Knowledge of the global risk and regulatory environment, especially developments in the FCC space.
• Graduate degree in law, finance or commerce preferred. Post-graduate qualifications in AML/CFT, commerce.
• Industry related certification (e.g., CAMS or ICA diploma in AML)

1. Meet and greet VIP guests and offer assistance throughout their stay.

2. Being able to deal with queries and complaints as soon as you are made aware of them.
