Please note that this is a wide job scope at a small print shop that is growing quickly.
1. Sea freight (35-40% of time required)
Prepare packing list and commercial invoice for books exported to various destinations (mostly USA)
Prepare carton labels for client approval and order cartons
Liaise with freight forwarder to obtain quotations if inland delivery to door/warehouse is needed
Coordinate packing specifications and cargo pickup with Binding department in a timely manner
2. Courier (30-35% of time required)
Save and record international mailing addresses for proofs and other samples
Retrieve and sort proofs and other samples from Printing and Binding departments
Book pickup using Fedex/UPS online portals in a timely manner
Share tracking information with clients
3. Logistics (5-10% of time required)
Save and record shipping documents for import of paper and bookbinding materials
Liaise with freight forwarder to clear import cargo
Liaise with transporter to move paper and bookbinding materials between local port, local warehouse and our print shop
4. Finishing (5% of time required)
Liaise with lamination house for lamination/spot UV of book covers and samples after printing is completed
5. Accounts-related (10% of time required)
Create payments for suppliers using DBS online banking portal
Sort, scan and file invoices for Accountant
Update payment grid in MS Excel using suppliers’ Statement of Accounts (SOA)
6. Miscellaneous (5-10% of time required)
Coordinate applications and extensions for Work Permits and S Pass using MOM online portal
Liaise with technician for maintenance of air-con and water chiller for printing press
FSC certification – maintenance of records and annual one day audit
