Event Secret Service (ESS) is seeking to hire an Event Operations Intern to serve in the Event Operations Department.

The intern will have the opportunity to work in one of the sub-departments: Administration.

General Role - Event Operations :

• Support event logistics by setting up equipment and providing on-site assistance during events.
• Manage operational aspects, including pre-event preparations, timelines, quotations, and logistical requirements.
• Assist in event hire recruitment processes and handle contract administration.
• Contribute to the development and implementation of event plans, timelines, and schedules.
• Coordinate event staffing, organize members' attendance details, and provide excellent customer service to event attendees.
• Maintain accurate employee data in the HR system , Foster employee engagement through site visits, organize events, and coordinate impactful training programs.

Support Role - Administration & Business Development :

• Conduct a wide range of advanced administrative tasks, such as calendar management and quotation management.
• Possess strong organizational skills to prioritize tasks strategically. Plan, manage, and execute various admin meeting tasks such as scheduling client meeting and meeting communications

The Event Operations Internship at ESS is designed to enhance interns' skills in communication, technology, quantitative reasoning, and teamwork. It affords opportunities to engage with professional mentors, expand networks within the event industry, and gain valuable exposure. The internship prioritises the support of interns' professional development, providing a solid foundation for their future careers in event operations.

Job purpose:

An exciting opportunity to gain broad experience on managing a range of Trade Finance Products including Working Capital solutions. Develop a skill set as a foundation for a career in Trade Finance Back Office, Middle Office, and Trade Sales. Depending on business requirements, and candidate performance in the following areas:

(i) Operations

Processing of the trade finance business for customers, including client and stakeholder communication.

Ensuring compliance with first line of defence responsibilities.

Key activities:

• Support the operation team on the end-to-end process in handling Documentary Credit and/or Guarantee transactions, Working Capital Solutions transactions including pre-processing & post- processing tasks.
• Providing process-oriented advice to Customers with due consideration given to their specific needs and the bank’s operational requirements.
• Support Senior Trade specialist in performing 2nd level control (internal) on transactions executed to ensure transactions completed in adherence to Global Procedures and/or Internal Guidelines
• Support Local Head in reviewing and/or updating Internal /Global procedures/guidelines whenever required.
• Support Local Head on any adhoc topic/initiative/project.

Formal education:

• Relevant bachelor’s degree or diploma
• Not more than 1 year working experience

Job purpose:

The eFX Technology Team is responsible for architecture, design and development of Commerzbank’s eFX trading platform. This could involve building bespoke trading and pricing platforms a well as distribution to external clients. The team is highly competent and technically adept on low latency and high performance computing.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Design and implement algorithms that allow machines to learn from data.
• Sift through vast amounts of data to identify statistical patterns and insights.
• Devise and implement steps to clean, structure and enrich data to improve model performance.
• Develop and integrate models into various applications.
• Design and implement models to process language and generate responses to prompts made in natural language.
• Design and implement models to interpret visual data.
• Design and implement models for robots to perform complex tasks.
• Design and implement algorithms to identify and process human speech.
• Work closely with other engineers to conduct system integration and tests to ensure algorithms and models work as intended.
• Assist QA and DevOps team to automate AI and ML workflows for integration, testing, deployment, training, and operation.
• Monitor and troubleshoot performance issues on the enterprise data pipelines.
• Conduct research and development projects to transform them into AI and ML capabilities in platforms, applications, and services.
• Define database structures, identify data type for collection, and setup data analysis software.
• Work cross-functionally, to identify a business problem, design technical solutions, demonstrate, and deliver business impact.
• Work iteratively on development and ensure products are production-ready and function smoothly.
• Work on new launch products and features, test their performance, and iterate quickly.

• Pursuit of Master’s Degree in Computer Science/ Data Science / Analytics / Artificial Intelligence or equivalent field.
• Able to commit to a full-time 6 months internship (March 2024 to September 2024).

• Knowledgeable in Data Analytics, Data Science, Artificial Intelligence, Robotic Process Automation.
• Strong understanding of data modeling concepts and able to design various components of data model and data engineering solution.
• Strong knowledge and experience in programming languages such as Python, Java, SQL, etc.
• Proficient in using data visualization tools such as Power BI, Tableau etc.
• Possess strong analytics, data profiling, and problem-solving skills.
• Possess strong research and analytical skills, able to collect and interpret data to solve problems and execute solutions.
