What you will be working on:

• To assist the Engineers to sustain and improve process integrity and Cpk indices to meet operations goals
• Perform shift duties (12-hour shift) to support the running of production in the module module and ensure that process integrity for machines is in place for production
• Assist Engineers in the fine tuning of processes for production
• Assist in trouble-shooting process related issues and minimize the time lots are on hold
• Monitor qualified process using SPC and other statistical tools
• Assist Specialists to ensure that work is carried out efficiently to meet module objectives and that SOPs are strictly followed
• Assist in implementing process improvement projects
• Participate in QIT programs to improve productivity and output quality of the Module
• Maintain good housekeeping in the production area, ensuring good safety practice and also safe custody of tools, equipment and other properties belonging to the Module

• Position: Assistant Mechanical Engineer (Industrial Automation/) - Up to $5000 - Woodlands
• Location: Woodlands (4 Bus Stops from Admiralty MRT)
• Working Hours: Mondays to Fridays | 8:30am to 5:30pm
• Salary (commensurate with experience): Up to $5,000 + AWS + Variable Bonus (Up to 2 months) + 12 – 16 Days of Annual Leave + Medical Benefits

Responsibilities:

• Responsible for assembly, debug and test run of customized modular machines and it’s commissioning.
• Provide on-site technical support at customer premise for equipment operation.
• Perform design modifications through: Simplified design, reduced parts, using cheaper alternatives, while maintaining or enhancing the performance of products in terms of cost reduction.
• Procure and/or assist in the procurement of necessary items to enable the performance of above duties.
• Writing and maintenance of all necessary documentations, work and assembly instructions, manufacturing and test procedures.

Requirements:

• Nitec / Higher Nitec / Diploma in Mechanical Engineering with 2 to 3 years’ relevant experience.
• Knowledge of industrial automation, jigs and fixture design, FMEA, SPC, CAD as well as experience in machine design are added advantages
• Self-Disciplined with strong project management skills
• Required to travel when necessary
• Bilingual in English and Mandarin to liaise with associates who can only speak Mandarin

Job Description & Requirements

• Perform Corrective and Preventive Maintenance of wafer fab manufacturing equipment.
• Support the running of production in the module and ensure the readiness for production
• Maintain 6S practices in the Fab and maintenance support areas
• Participate and follow up on continuous improvement projects
• Provide clear and accurate pass down of line issues and documentation

Requirement

• Candidate must possess at least Diploma in Engineering (Electrical/Electronic), Engineering (Mechanical), Engineering (Mechatronic/Electromechanical) or equivalent.
• No work experience required.
• Preferably Entry Level specialized in Engineering - Mechanical/Automotive or equivalent.
• Work overtime during weekends and public holidays
• Working in cleanroom

1. Assist Senior Project Engineer/Project Manager as required.

2. Maintain quality assurance standards for projects.

3. Provide technical assistance to Senior Engineers when needed.

4. Analyze construction problems and recommend corrective actions.

5. Work with Senior Engineers in reviewing project specification and in preparing project plan and design sheet.

6. Supervise technicians' works.

7. Any other ad-hoc work instructions.
