This job description is inclusive but not limited to the following:
Reporting directly to the Senior VP, Supply Chain, you will play a pivotal role in scaling IRVINS procurement globally. You will develop a broad knowledge of the business, and be a responsible functional lead in deploying relevant analytics and strategy to supply the best-priced, quality products and solutions for the business.
Management Responsibilities
- Lead and build an efficient Procurement team and processes to achieve business goals.
- Track and report key functional metrics to reduce expenses and improve effectiveness
- Expect unfavorable events through analysis of data & prepare control strategies
- Control spend & build a culture of long term saving on procurement costs
- Support Head of Supply Chain in strategy development and execution of procurement objectives, in maximizing efficiency, reliability, timeliness, cost-effectiveness of our supply chain.
Operations & Process Management
- Negotiate with external vendors to secure advantageous terms
- Work with respective functions to ensure clarity of specifications and expectation of the company
- Document and follow through all procurement commitments e.g. timely renewal of supply contracts, tender management etc.
- Establish and govern efficient procurement and purchasing processes for all direct and indirect materials including NPI sourcing and purchase, with sign off from relevant stakeholders. This includes relevant process set-up for New Supplier evaluations and on-boarding, SLA, new SKU listings etc..
- Tracking of savings against target
- Assist in internal and external audits as needed.
Supplier & Pricing Management
- Research suppliers / vendors that need the goal of the company
- Ensure new suppliers comply to business expectations and requirements, following a standard New Supplier Checklist and Supplier On-boarding Checklist that is agreed upon with key internal stakeholders.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers, understand their core capabilities and perform negotiations as required.
- Responsible for New Supplier process and overall supplier network.
- Lead Supplier Performance Review with inputs from cross-functional stakeholders, including the development of Supplier Scorecard and annual business review schedules.
- Act as 2nd escalation point for supplier non-conformance issues and ensure timely resolution e.g. late and/or missing deliveries, material quality issues etc.
- Conduct periodical supply risk assessment, propose and test adequate countermeasures.
Continuous Improvements & Reporting
- Develop and maintain relevant KPIs and reporting to drive visibility, transparency and improvements in supply cost and risk management.
- Establish processes with relevant stakeholders to reduce slow moving and obsolete stocks.
- Participate in or lead Procurement, Supply Chain or relevant business initiatives and reporting, as needed.
Our Dream Candidate:
- Bachelor’s degree in Purchasing Management, Supply Chain Management, Business Management, or a related field is required
- Experience in procurement preferably in food manufacturing or F&B industry
- Strong communication, analytical and negotiation skills
- Knowledge in SAP and Google Workplace/MS Office
- Highly resourceful team player with the ability to also be extremely effective independently
