Job Summary
The role of a Business Development Manager (BDM) at ERIKS would focus on driving sales growth, establishing strategic partnerships, and expanding the company's market presence.
Duties & Responsibilities
1. Strategic Planning and Market Research
- Market Analysis: Conduct in-depth market research to identify trends, potential customers, and emerging opportunities within ERIKS' core industries (e.g., OEM, sealing/gasket solutions, and mechanical engineering).
- Strategic Initiatives: Develop and implement business development strategies aligned with ERIKS’ goals and sustainability initiatives.
2. Sales and Revenue Growth
- Revenue Targets: Work towards achieving set sales and profitability targets.
- Client Acquisition: Identify, qualify, and secure new business opportunities with both existing and new customers.
- Cross-selling: Promote ERIKS’ broad portfolio of products and solutions by identifying synergies across categories.
- Clean Room: Experience in setting up a clean room for semiconductor customers with strong project Management Skills.
3. Customer Relationship Management (CRM)
- Account Management: Build and maintain long-term relationships with key clients to ensure repeat business. Dealing with international key customers will be an added advantage.
- Feedback Integration: Collect and analyze client feedback to improve service delivery and product offerings.
- Customer-focused solutions: Develop customized solutions to meet client-specific needs.
4. Collaboration and Coordination
- Internal Collaboration: Work closely with the technical and operations teams to ensure the seamless delivery of solutions.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Act as the primary liaison between ERIKS and clients, ensuring alignment of goals.
- Global Partnerships: Leverage ERIKS’ global network to access resources and best practices.
5. Proposal and Contract Development
- Proposals: Prepare and present detailed proposals, pricing structures, and tender submissions.
- Negotiations: Lead contract negotiations to ensure favorable terms while maintaining profitability.
6. Brand Representation
- Corporate Ambassador: Represent ERIKS at industry events, trade shows, and conferences to enhance brand visibility.
- Thought Leadership: Share industry insights to position ERIKS as a trusted advisor in the marketplace.
7. Sustainability and Compliance
- Sustainable Growth: Promote ERIKS’ commitment to sustainability in all business development activities, reflecting ISO 14001:2015 standards.
- Regulatory Adherence: Ensure compliance with local and international laws and ERIKS' ethical & safety standards in business dealings.
8. Reporting and Analysis
- Performance Metrics: Monitor and report on business development activities, ensuring transparency in progress toward targets.
- Market Intelligence: Provide regular updates on competitor activities and market conditions.
9. Any other duties/projects as assigned by your immediate supervisor
Job Holder’s Specifications (Must Have)
· Possess at least a minimum Diploma in Engineering / Mechanical discipline or equivalent
· Minimum 5 years of sales experience in a related field, especially the Semiconductor sector
· Computer literate, excellent interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills
· Strong knowledge of business development and negotiation skills
· Team and sales-oriented, results-driven, self-starter with the ability to work well with little supervision and lead a team to meet business goals
· Knowledge of mechanical engineering products is an added advantage
· Enthusiastic, independent, motivated, good team player who is result-oriented and customer-focused
· Possess a valid driving license and own transport
