About the role:

• Product and Raw Material Release Expertise: Utilize a comprehensive understanding of quality control processes to review and release finished products and raw materials. Ensure that all products meet established quality standards and regulatory requirements before distribution. Conduct thorough evaluations of documentation and test results to verify compliance with specifications.
• Quality Oversight for Manufacturing: Provide ongoing quality oversight throughout the manufacturing process to ensure adherence to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and internal quality standards. Monitor production activities to identify areas for improvement, ensuring that all operations comply with regulatory and company policies. Collaborate with production teams to address any quality-related concerns and implement corrective actions as necessary.
• GEMBA Walks and GMP Walk-Throughs:
  Conduct regular GEMBA walks and GMP walk-throughs to engage with manufacturing staff, observe processes, and identify opportunities for improvement in quality and efficiency. Use these walks as a platform for fostering a culture of quality and continuous improvement by discussing best practices, addressing challenges, and gathering feedback directly from employees on the floor.
• Revision, Review, and Approval of Procedures:
  Take responsibility for the revision, review, and approval of key documentation, including Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), forms, and Manufacturing Batch Records. Ensure that all procedures are up-to-date, accurately reflect current practices, and comply with regulatory requirements. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather input and ensure that all changes are effectively communicated and implemented across the organization.

About you: Bachelor’s degree in engineering, with 5 - 8 years of relevant work experience in material quality for pharmaceutical / life science industries.

Key Roles & Responsibilities

The Senior Executive / Assistant Manager will support the Vice President (Systems and Quality Assurance) in implementing and managing the SingEdExcel QA framework, School Management Model (SMM) Knowledge Repository, EduTrust compliance and data protection across the organisation.

SingEdExcel Framework & SMM Knowledge Repository

1. Assist in the development, management, and implementation of the SingEdExcel framework across schools.
2. Support the Vice President in monitoring, reviewing, and evaluating the effectiveness of the framework and the knowledge repository.
3. Coordinate with school leaders and staff to ensure effective adoption and implementation of standardised policies and procedures.
4. Maintain documentation of all policies and procedures, ensuring they are up-to-date and accessible in the knowledge repository.

EduTrust Compliance & Support

1. Support the Vice President in serving as an internal assessor for schools preparing for EduTrust certification.

Data Protection Compliance

1. Assist in the development and implementation of data protection policies and procedures.
2. Support in conducting data protection risk assessments and audits across all schools.
3. Monitor compliance with data protection laws and regulations and report findings to the Group DPO.
4. Coordinate data protection training and awareness programmes for staff.
5. Maintain comprehensive records of data processing activities and assist in the preparation of reports on data protection compliance.

Job Requirements

• Recognised bachelor’s degree in Education, Business Administration, Quality Management, or a related field.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in quality assurance, compliance management, or a related field.
• Minimum of 1 year of experience with data protection and privacy laws, and their implementation in organisational processes.
• Knowledge of quality/compliance management systems and frameworks (e.g., EduTrust, ISO 21001) is essential.
• Experience with quality improvement initiatives and system implementation is highly regarded.

What the role is

The Quality Service Branch (QSB), under the Clean Environment Group (CEG), handles cases related to pollution control and wastes management matters. In this role, we are looking for highly motivated, dynamic and service-orientated individual to handle feedback, appeal and enquiries related to pollution control and waste management related issues. In addition, you will perform a wide range of duties focused on monitoring trends, and data analysis on various types of feedback to support ground operations. You will report to the Senior Assistant Director of CEG/QSB.

What you will be working on

You will work in partnership with line departments and operations sections within Pollution Control 1 Division, Pollution Control 2 Division, Environmental Monitoring and Modelling Division and Waste Management Division, to ensure effective handling of feedback and appeal cases received from members of the public and stakeholders. You will be responsible for the following:

• Draft reports and replies and handle all cases from People, Private and Public sectors, including complex and sensitive cases, on pollution control and waste management matters in accordance with guidelines and Standard Operating Procedures and within service standards
• Review feedback and collaborate with operations and/or other agencies to understand customer issues where required, to identify gaps in service delivery and drive improvements/changes to service experience, processes, policies, and standards, including communication strategies and replies to ensure relevance and realism to changing customer servicescape
• Partner, support and contribute to platforms and initiatives aimed at driving service excellence within NEA, for example, service events, newsletter, initiatives, etc.
• Analyse feedback data and garner insights from customer satisfaction surveys to sense and sense-make, and to propose improvement plans.
