There is access to a 3T MR, MR-PET and retinal imaging.

Duties and Responsibilities

1. Perform academic research on neuroimaging (CT, MRI, PET and retinal) and its association with cognition and other clinical outcomes in MACC observational and clinical trial cohorts.

Job Description

The Institute for Functional Intelligent Materials (I-FIM) is seeking a researcher to investigate the application of scientific machine learning algorithms to develop an equation of state for dynamical systems out of equilibrium, with a focus on polymers under elongational flow. The role involves analysing large datasets from simulations and experiments to uncover patterns that traditional models may miss, aiming to enhance predictive capabilities for polymer behaviour. The work will be undertaken in collaboration with experts in algorithm development and experimental data collection and analysis. Additionally, the researcher will study the extension of developed framework to model multi-pendulum systems, exploring complex dynamics relevant to robotics and climate science. Findings will be disseminated through peer-reviewed journals, and the developed code will be made publicly available on GitHub.

Job Requirements

• Development of in the loop optimisation processes
• Ability to develop custom or apply state-of-the-art computer vision algorithms (CNN, AE, etc)
• Data cleaning, augmentation and dimension reduction
• Ability to work with common Python ML libraries (scikit-learn, tensorflow 1 & 2, pytorch), develop custom neural networks and implement classification and regression algorithms
• Interdisciplinary collaboration with researchers and scientists from different academic backgrounds
• Experience working in organic laboratories
• Knowledge of working with microfluidics platforms

The appointee will support the Student Finance Team on student enrolment matters.

Responsibilities:-

• Verify and review finance documents and ensure that submissions are complete and accurate
• Follow-up with applicants on incomplete documents and outstanding payments
• Address to queries which may arise in the review
• Manage and maintain records and documents, including updating of records in student system
• Provide general administrative support to the Finance Department as needed

Requirements:-

• Preferably A-level holders and above with 1-2 years of relevant experience
• Proficient in MS Office applications and IT knowledge
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Meticulous and good organizational skills
• Ability to work both independently and part of a team
• Trustworthy and able to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information appropriately

Job Description:

The Bed Management Unit (BMU) coordinates and provides efficient and clinically appropriate ward placement of all patients entering or within the National University Hospital.

Duties and Responsibilities
 Responsible for providing bed allocation services and administrative duties in BMU.
 Perform bed allocation duties with SAP and other systems, complying to a set of
rules and priorities as established by the hospital, and assignment of beds to
patients shall be in accordance to patients' needs and choice where possible
 To be able to identify potential bed tight situation and activate bed tight measures
 Coordinate patient movement with wards and other departments based on bed
status.
 Answer phone calls to handle bed enquiries and respond to or follow up on
bed/transfer requests.
 To assist in the preparation of management reports and provide statistics as and
when required
 Ad-Hoc writing of reports and statistics
 Offer emotional support and help patients cope with their illnesses.
 Any other duties as assigned by Reporting Officer.
Requirements
 Diploma in any discipline
 Possess minimum of 2 years of relevant work experience
 Conversant with essential software applications such as Microsoft Word, Excel,
Access and Power Point and knowledge of SAP is an advantage
 Possess good oral and written communication skills
 Must be a good team player with positive work attitude and able to work
independently
