Senior Manager / Assistant Director (Research)

Specific Job Responsibilities

As Senior Manager / Assistant Director (Research), you will be responsible for:

(i) Developing plans and grant schemes that will build up AI research capabilities and support the translation of research

(ii) Working with agencies and companies to leverage research to drive sectoral outcomes. This would include identifying major use cases, resolving stumbling blocks and putting place necessary research infrastructure

(iii) Engaging international research organisations to strengthen Singapore’s research network and profile

Requirements

An ideal candidate should possess the following:

· At least 5 years of working experience in conceptualising, structuring, and implementing technology partnerships

· Familiarity with AI technology and capabilities

o This role will require you to be sufficiently familiar at a savvy user / technology translator level as you will need to speak with highly technical experts as well as business leaders. We don’t need you to be a researcher, but we need you to be able to talk credibly to one.

· Experience working in the public sector or in a research organisation

· Self-starter with strong organisational and coordination skills who is able to multi-task and get things done in a fast-paced environment

· Strong communication and interpersonal skills to engage a wide spectrum of external and internal stakeholders, and orchestrate collaborations with stakeholders

Position Summary:

This role is the global leader responsibility for Service Desk, Deskside Support and End user device asset management/life cycle for all regions including North America, Asia, India and Europe. This role is responsible for leading a distributed global team, internaltional travel required to visit different Lam sites (1-3 times/quarter)

Job Responsibilities:

• Set and seeks to continually improve and reinforce the service standards for end user support and assest management.
• Establishes benchmarking for end user support. Identifies/implements improvements for service level, user satisfaction and KPIs.
• Escalation point for complex or longstanding support issues.
• Provides guidance and professional development to team members. Foesters a positive and collaborative team culture.
• Develops/executes strategies for lifecycle of end user assets. Implements best practices for procurement, deployment, maintenance, and retirement of hardware and software.
• Manages ans tracks quaterly budget forecast/adjustment, resource planning and future technology spends.
• Maintains and improves the lifecycle management systems to ensure that assets are being properly documented and adequately tracked.
• Maintains and improves procedures for incident management.
• Leads and oversees the planning, execution and completion of operational and continous improvement projects within the IT support domain.

Job Requirements:

• BA, BS, or MS in Computer Science, IS/IT, or equivalent with 8-10 years of related experience and 5+ years in management
• ITIL certifications are desired
• Experience with ServiceNow (Incident management and Asset management) highly preferred.
• Experience with managing global team with different language/culture background.

Responsibilities:

• Formulate and execute strategic plans together with regional management team
• Analyze key performance indicators and providing strategic guidance for improved performance
• Provide guidance to regional country heads to achieve optimal country performance goals
• Collaborate with HR on strategies to foster a high-performing regional workforce
• Oversee budgets, financial forecasts, and resource allocation
• Active involvement in business development activities to achieve revenue growth targets

Requirements:

• Previous involvement in a senior leadership capacity, within a market research
• Candidate should possess a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, or a related qualification
• Exceptional leadership, decision-making and communication skills
