• Liaise with internal and external parties on all civil & structural and geotechnical & viaduct design matters and advises the Principal Project Manager (PRPM)/ Senior Project Manager (SPM)/Project Manager (PM) regularly
• Co-ordinate the review of Contractor's civil & structural and Geotechnical & Viaduct submission and assists the SPM/PM in conveying a timely response to the contractor
• Identify and resolve potential design related issues during construction phase
• Carry out any other duties as required by the Authority's Project management team, including attending technical meetings and discussions, preparation of minutes of technical meetings and to provide technical meetings and to provide technical support as required in the evaluations of Contractor's claims
• Ensure that the design intent is translated to construction on site by means of correct drawings and specifications

Requirements

• Minimum Degree in Civil/Structural Engineering or equivalent

• Devising and implementing methods and procedures for inspecting, testing and evaluating the precision and accuracy of products and production equipment.
• Designing and analyzing inspection and testing processes, mechanisms and equipment.
• Conducting quality assurance tests and performing statistical analysis to assess the level of control and manage product quality risks.
• Undertaking root cause analysis of incidents requiring corrective action.
• Ensure that corrective measures and deviation meet acceptable reliability standards and that documentation is compliant with requirements.

The Senior Engineer, Facilities Management (FM) supports the Head of Department to ensure the Facilities & Biomedical Engineering department functions efficiently and effectively to achieve NNI’s strategic objectives. The Senior Engineer (FM) is to ensure that renovation projects and infrastructure works, the day-to-day management of facilities, maintenance support services, operational processes and department KPIs are consistently kept to a high standard to support the institution’s operational requirements.

Job Requirements

The incumbent will be responsible for the following:

• Renovation projects, infrastructure improvement works and maintenance of NNI facilities.
• Ensure the timely maintenance replacement of all such stated assets, equipment and fixtures so that assets are sustained and optimized over their cyclical lives with minimal downtimes and costs.
• Interaction with TTSH Support Services especially in areas such as facility engineering, security & carpark and housekeeping.
• Prepare technical specification for ITQ/RFP and participate in procurement evaluation as subject matter expert for facilities management and facility development.

Requirements

• Degree in Engineering / related fields or equivalent + 4 yrs exp or Diploma in Facilities Management Engineering / related fields or equivalent + 10 yrs exp & demonstrated competency.
• Strong experience in business operations and project management especially in large establishment or in an institution preferably in the healthcare industry.
• Independent and resourceful.
• Good interpersonal and communication skills.

1. Resolves engineering problems by collecting and analyzing information; researching, analyzing, adapting, and modifying engineering techniques; recommending solutions; preparing drawings, schematics, and diagrams; evaluating components, materials, and suppliers; resolving design integration issues; developing specifications and safety standards; performing installations.

2.Verifies engineering applications by conducting tests and inspections; building and analyzing models and simulations;

3.Supports engineering projects by adapting and applying engineering techniques; conducting tests and inspections; preparing reports and calculations.

Responsibilities:

• Attend site meetings
• Supervise the construction of works in accordance with the project plan
• Co-ordinate layout plan, detailed drawings and M&E plan and prepare time schedule
• Arrange submission of plans to local authorities for approval and arrange inspections of work to kick off projects
• Work closely with customers; co-ordinate with internal staff; manage sub-contractors; determine material type and quantities
• Work closely with operations manager to manage project profit margin by carrying out price comparisons and managing operating costs
• Supervise, control and coordinate work according to project plan to ensure timely completion and high quality work.
• Conduct frequent sites inspections and meetings to ensure high quality work by sub-contractors and on time delivery of materials in accordance with schedule
• Enforce site safety procedures, identify and manage risks arising from the workplace or work process

Requirements:

• Degree /Diploma (or equivalent) in Mechanical / Electrical engineering
• Minimum 3 years experience in building services
• Proficiency in written and spoken English
• Excellent interpersonal skills with keen attention to details
• Self-motivated with a high degree of personal responsibility
• Able to handle projects independently and communicate well
