DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

FINANCIAL RETURNS:

• Inform superior of the status of repairs and pending costs and indicate when it would be reasonable to consider replacement
• Record daily service work, including maintaining individual replacement costs along with time/task labour hours cost

PEOPLE:

• Perform all routine preventative maintenance and curative maintenance
• Order and monitor fuels, lubricants and repair parts
• Maintain clean and tidy plant rooms
• Maintain a level of broader knowledge which enables you to handle minor problems in all fields of the department
• Attend to all types of repair and maintenance work in the Hotel premises, including any new additions / extensions to the Hotel or any other properties maintained by the Hotel
• Assist with the implementation of the hotel’s preventative maintenance system and repair log system
• Participate in instructing colleagues on the proper operation, safety procedures and cleaning of all equipment
• Conduct and/or participate in staff meeting regarding proper operating and maintenance practices of equipment

GUEST EXPERIENCE:

• Repair and maintain guest room facilities, light facilities, furniture and equipment
• Prioritize work in line with guest requests and management

RESPONSIBLE BUSINESS:

• Perform all routine preventative maintenance and curative maintenance
• Order and monitor fuels, lubricants and repair parts

• Be familiar with property safety, first aid and fire and emergency procedures and operate equipment safely and sensibly
• Initiate action to correct a hazardous situation and notify supervisors of potential dangers
• Log security incidents and accidents in accordance with hotel requirements

ACCOUNTABILITY

You are responsible for ensuring that routine maintenance is performed in order for the Hotels equipment to be operated with maximum efficiency to achieve customer and guest satisfaction. This is done under the general direction of the Assistant Chief Engineer/ Shift Leader, and within the limits of established InterContinental Hotels & Resorts and hotel’s policies and procedures. You will also help to promote a desired work culture around our Winning Ways of the InterContinental Hotels Group and embrace the IHG Commitment.

QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS

Minimum 2 to 3 years of relevant experience with related NTC certificates. Able to speak and write English with fairly good interpersonal and communication skills. Independent worker as well as a good team player.

Responsibilities

• To operate and run day to day AV and VC system for virtual and physical events.
• Plan and manage schedule for multiple events, to ensure setup and tests are done
• Responsible in ensuring AV and VC system are in good working condition by conducting predictive and preventive maintenance, daily, weekly and monthly routine inspection of equipment.
• Monitor and attend to maintenance service requests, investigate and initiate corrective actions for any service and equipment breakdown, or fault detected during routine check, servicing and maintenance.
• Maintain an asset inventory with proper labelling as well as problem and incident reports.
• Ensure the updating of the engineering systems information databases (such as drawings, operation and maintenance manual, etc.).
• Coordinate and work with audio and visual equipment and cleaning contractors to set up meeting venues including seating arrangements and equipment.

Requirements

• At least three (3) years’ relevant experience in AV equipment operations, maintenance and facility management services.
• The technicians shall hold minimum a NITEC/Higher NITEC in Facility Management or Mechanical and Electrical Services or equivalent.
• Experience in broadcasting and live production or AV and VC operation and maintenance with supervisory responsibility.
• Good understanding of hardware (cameras, video switchers, lighting, sound) needed to run professional videos and live streams.
• Experience with filming equipment and studio production, with working experience on production sets or part of a production team.
• Good interpersonal skills with a customer-oriented mindset.

Responsibilities

• Conduct preventive maintenance and regular inspections of installations, fixtures and fittings, equipment, common facilities and property to ensure they are clean, safe and in good working condition.
• Undertake minor building, mechanical and electrical repair works, and handyman works (such as changing of light bulbs, reset drawer locks, etc).
• Monitor and attend to maintenance service requests, investigate and initiate corrective actions
• Daily, weekly and monthly inspection of key facilities, systems and critical areas.
• Coordinate and supervise the rectification of defects, maintenance, replacement and upgrading works
• Supervise contractors/vendors performing maintenance works on building facilities (e.g. Building maintenance, Mechanical & Electrical systems (M&E), horticulture, cleaning, pest control etc).
• Monitor utilities consumption by taking water and electricity meter readings and report out of normal consumptions.
• Assist in fire safety management, emergencies and business continuity plan
• Coordinate and work with audio and visual equipment and cleaning contractors to set up meeting venues including seating arrangements and equipment.
• Update information databases and breakdown record for engineering systems.

Requirements

• Relevant experience in building operation and maintenance of building facilities.
• The technicians shall hold minimum a NITEC/Higher NITEC in Facility Management or Mechanical and Electrical Services or equivalent.
• Additional experience in electrical system, uninterruptible power supply, generators, FM200, fire alarm, sprinkler, high voltage and low voltage switchboards will be an advantage.
• Additional qualifications such as Electrical Worker License/Singapore Certified Energy Manager (Associate)/Green Mark Facilities Manager will be an added advantage.

Job Description:

· Respond and attend to guest repair requests.

· Communicate with guests/customers to resolve maintenance issues.

· Perform preventive maintenance on tools and kitchen and mechanical room equipment, including cleaning and lubrication.

· Visually inspect tools, equipment, or machines.

· Carry equipment (e.g., tools, radio). Identify, locate, and operate all shut-off valves for equipment and all utility shut-offs for buildings.

· Display basic computer skills including inputting air handler schedules and making temperature changes.

Technician Responsibilities:

• Diagnose, troubleshoot and repair mobile devices;

• Quality control and testing of repaired devices to ensure full functionality. Resolve/manage customer inquiries;

• Able to interact positively with customers at the storefront and over the phone;

Serviced Residence. You will have close collaborations with colleagues from the
