Inventory Control Assistant / Executive

Location: Gul Crescent [Company Transport @Big bus from Chinese Garden, Lakeside & Boon Lay; Small bus from Yew Tee]

Working Hours: 8.15am - 5.30pm
Working Days: 5 Days [Monday - Friday]
Salary: $2500 - $3000

The incumbent will work alongside with the team manager to manage the company’s inventory system and committed to maintain data accuracy and integrity of the system.

Responsibilities:

• Manage the company’s inventory system
• Provide support for periodic stock checks and stock takes
• Oversee & ensure inventory accuracy in the system
• Review inventory documentation, records and reconciliation of inventory discrepancies if any
• Liaise with warehouse personnel on inventory matters
• Ensure timely updating of supplier price lists and computation of selling price

Requirement:

• Minimum a Diploma or equivalent, preferably in logistics or related field
• Possess relevant experience in inventory control

Responsibilities:

- Conduct data science and analytics for international e-commerce supply chain and logistics.

- Apply the latest statistics and machine learning methods to merchant and supply chain management to facilitate business growth.

- Work with development, product, and operations teams to optimize supply chain logistics functionalities using statistical or machine learning techniques.

- Analyze and deconstruct the impact of logistics strategies, contributing to data-driven decision-making and capabilities like forecasting and simulation.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

1. Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or relevant fields, with 3 years of experience in data mining, machine learning or operational research.

2. Proficient in SQL and data analysis/modeling with R/Python. Familiarity with big data technologies like Hadoop, Spark, Hive, and Flink is a plus.

3. Knowledgeable in data analytics, mining techniques, and machine learning or optimization algorithms, with an understanding of deep learning principles.

4. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to learn quickly and work well in a team.

5. Skilled in cross-team collaboration, business acumen, and strong communication, with resilience and interest in new technologies and challenges.

Preferred Qualifications:

- Prior experience in supply chain or logistics and practices in big data or algorithm engineering is desirable.

Job Responsibilities:

• Oversee and manage the daily operations of the distribution center or warehouse, ensuring efficient movement and tracking of finished goods and raw materials.
• Drive improvements in material flow processes, while monitoring compliance with safety and security protocols.
• Maintain close coordination with suppliers, forwarders, and internal/external customers for incoming and outgoing shipments, liaising with third-party logistics providers as needed.
• Handle warehouse management tasks, including order fulfillment, invoice generation, and follow-up on billings.
• Perform administrative duties such as data entry, filing, report generation, and documentation. Process non-stock purchase orders, handle phone inquiries, greet visitors, and manage any ad-hoc responsibilities as required.

Job Requirement(s):
