Job Description & Requirements:
l Minimum of 3 years of experience in a related field, demonstrating a strong foundation of knowledge and skills in therapy support.
l A collaborative team player with exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, capable of effectively liaising with therapists, clients, and other health care professionals.
l Possess analytical and problem-solving abilities, adept at identifying and addressing challenges to support the delivery of high-quality therapy services.
l Availability to work on public holidays, weekends, and retail hours, showcasing dedication and flexibility to meet the diverse needs of clients and the organization.
l Commitment to adhering to infection control procedures, prioritizing the safety and well-being of clients and staff members in all aspects of therapy support activities.
Key Responsibilities:
l Assist in the fabrication, donning, and doffing of orthoses and pressure garments under the guidance and supervision of therapists, ensuring precise execution and adherence to prescribed protocols.
l Support therapists in assessing clients' status to determine suitability for therapy sessions or continuation of ongoing therapy, providing valuable input and observations as needed.
l Collaborate closely with therapists to carry out treatment plans effectively, demonstrating competence and attentiveness in implementing therapy interventions and techniques.
l Record therapy sessions accurately and comprehensively according to predefined templates, ensuring meticulous documentation of client progress and treatment outcomes.
l Facilitate basic or routine group therapy sessions, assisting therapists in organizing and leading therapeutic activities to meet the diverse needs of clients.
l Educate clients on the proper use of therapeutic aids and assistive devices prescribed by therapists, providing clear instructions and demonstrations to optimize therapeutic outcomes.
l Provide education to patients and caregivers on therapeutic interventions, empowering them to actively participate in the therapy process and support ongoing progress outside of therapy sessions.
l Contribute to the fabrication of orthoses and pressure garments as directed by therapists, maintaining high standards of craftsmanship and attention to detail.
l Uphold the cleanliness and safety of therapy areas, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and organizational policies to create a safe and conducive environment for therapy sessions.
l Manage inventories and equipment for the therapy department, conducting regular audits and replenishments to ensure availability and functionality of essential resources.
l Actively participate in quality improvement initiatives, contributing insights and suggestions to enhance the effectiveness and efficiency of therapy services.
l Perform administrative duties as assigned, including scheduling appointments, maintaining client records, and assisting with billing and documentation tasks as needed.
l Execute therapy procedures according to established protocols and guidelines provided by therapists, demonstrating proficiency and precision in all aspects of therapy support activities.
l Prepare clients, materials, and equipment for assessments or therapy sessions, ensuring readiness and organization to facilitate smooth and efficient service delivery.
