MDD, a Davies company is a niche professional services provider with 50 employees currently across 8 markets in the Asia Pacific region (Singapore, Hong Kong, Thailand, Japan, South Korea, Australia, New Zealand and the UAE).
The role
This role is a broad, hands on HR role with a small, highly professionalised stakeholder group. The candidate will have the opportunity to provide the full range of HR services from advisory support through to payroll delivery. The monthly salary range is SGD 8k - SGD 11k plus participation in the annual discretionary bonus plan.
Key stakeholders include the Global Head of HR for Consulting, the MDD Europe and Asia COO and the MDD Asia Pacific leadership team. This is a new role which will cover all MDD's Asia Pacific markets; Singapore, Hong Kong, UAE, Thailand, Japan, South Korea, Australia and New Zealand.
Key responsibilities
- Owning the stakeholder relationships within MDD Asia Pacific
- Manage HR operations including HR system accuracy, payroll and benefits enrolment and reporting.
- Manage Employee Relations activity ensuring policy and legal compliance and managed to time scale
- Work with local legal advisors and payroll providers to ensure timely and accurate delivery of HR services
- Coaching leaders/managers/colleagues to enable them to be the best versions of themselves and to to successfully develop talent and manage performance
- Manage recruitment and onboarding activity
- Taking lead on any other ad-hoc HR related activity within MDD Asia Pacific
- Ensure MDD are compliant in all training/mandatory training
- Advising leaders/managers to ensure appropriate application of policy and process and above all, to achieve best business outcome
Key skills and experience required
- Must be able to work on a stand-alone basis, the Global Head of HR, Consulting is providing oversight only; not managing HR activity on a daily basis.
- Strong knowledge of employment legislation in the Asia Pacific region.
- Good knowledge of both the legal requirements and practical approaches and the ability to combine these in a thoughtful, human centric manner.
- Comfortable to work at both a strategic and tactical level providing both advisory support and ensuring operational activities are carried out on a timely and accurate basis.
