We are looking for an experienced Research Assistant to work closely with a team of researchers, led by PI – Professor Victoria Leong, and to drive and fulfill research deliverables and milestones within a tight timeline. The postholder is expected to render research support to the Centre’s Director, Professor Victoria Leong and collaborators, on basic and translational projects with a focus on early childhood development.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform participant recruitment, data collection and basic data analysis

• Assist with data coding of video and audio data for behavioural analysis of parent-infant social interaction and synchrony

Scope of Services

1. Laboratory Preparation:Prepare and set up apparatus, equipment, and materials for practical lessons.
   Retrieve, clear away, and clean apparatus and equipment, including safe disposal of waste post-lesson.
   
2. Technical Support:Provide direct technical support to teaching and learning in the three science laboratories.
   Conduct risk assessments with teachers as necessary to ensure safety.
   
3. Laboratory Maintenance:Keep the three science labs and preparation room clean, sanitized, safe, well-organized, and clutter-free.
   Ensure labs are secure when not in use.
   
4. Resource Management:Maintain scientific instruments and ensure supplies are accessible for teachers.
   Assist in establishing and maintaining Science and Mathematics Departments’ resources.
   Monitor and manage stock-taking of equipment and resource materials.
   Check deliveries, reorder essential items, and arrange for maintenance and repair of apparatus and equipment.
   Maintain records and logs of all maintenance and servicing of equipment.
   
5. Administrative Tasks:Perform simple administrative tasks such as maintaining records and inventory stock lists.
   Prepare labels and posters for science labs.
   Liaise with vendors for quotations for ordered items.
   
6. Office Equipment Management:Operate and maintain basic office equipment and materials.
   
7. Additional Duties:Cover reception duties, pack resources, or support ad-hoc tasks for special school events as needed.
   

Qualifications, Skills & Experience

• Education: GCE ‘O’ Level or equivalent (Critical Criteria)
• Training: Preferably first-aid trained.
• Skills: Good communication and interpersonal skills; meticulous with strong planning and organizing abilities.
• Technical Skills: Proficient in MS Office.
• Experience: Relevant experience in school science laboratories and managing math manipulatives preferred.

Job Description

· To assist the Science Department in maintaining the school’s science laboratories

· Prepare experimental set up for laboratory work

· Any other duties assigned by HOD or School STEM Instructors

Responsibilities

• Handle claims registration for Life Insurance and General Insurance Personal Lines within the required turnaround time and ensure that claims are registered accurately in the system.
• Handle screening of medical bills to verify with policy information and status.
• Support claim officers in the requisition for payments on approved claims.
• Matching of cheques with settlement letters to ensure matched accurately and timely to meet the expected turnaround time.
• Liaise with claimants, policyholders and agents on outstanding requirements including sending acknowledgement email.
• Build collaborative relationships with and ensure that claims registration are well managed for both internal and external key stakeholders (i.e policyholders, distribution servicing rep, ) to achieve claims business objectives.
• Takes accountability in considering business and regulatory compliance risks and takes appropriate steps to mitigate the risks.
• Maintains awareness of industry trends on regulatory compliance, emerging threats and technologies in order to understand the risk and better safeguard the company.
• Highlights any potential concerns /risks and proactively shares best risk management practices.
• Suggest and participate in process improvement projects/ initiatives/ system enhancement, including establish claims best practices.
