Trading Operations Executive
Roles & Responsibilities
Scope of work and responsibilities
· Deliver, execute and document physical commodities delivery and contracts
· Create and negotiate Contracts to counter parties and ensure contract terms cover our risks and exposures
· To handle and manage shipping documents (including B/L, proforma/commercial invoice, packing list, certificate of origin, certificate of weight, quality, LOI, etc) independently
· To handle and manage all necessary documents for L/C, SBLC, Collection and bank negotiation independently.
· Negotiating and drafting of letter of credit
· To liaise with suppliers/buyers on cargo readiness, documentation and payment matters.
· To liaise with shipping agencies on shipping arrangements, vessel schedules and vessel movement
· To liase with freight team, ship brokers, insurance companies
· To be able to monitor invoice value, payment due date, outstanding payment.
· Able to calculate lay time, P&L
· Ensure shipment schedules and any trading database timely and accurately
· To work with traders and counterparties to transact and monitor all risks (including but not limited to credit / market / reputation/operational risks/ other internal division)
· Organize all electronic and physical records of all transactions, trade details for the cargo under the LC and cost ledger.
· Any other ad-hoc duties and Special Project as assigned
Qualifications
· Min 5 year of working experience in thermal coal.
· Good L/C knowledge is essential to this role
· Degree or equivalent in Business, Economics, Trade, Supply Chain, Maritime or related discipline.
· Excellent communications and interpersonal skills
· Meticulous and self-motivated with positive attitude
· Multi-tasking, can work independently, able to handle pressures and tight deadlines and willing to commit extra hours to meet timeline
· Good understanding of requirements in trade execution in a trading environment.
· Practical knowledge of UCP600, ISBP745 and Incoterms 2020
· Comprehensive knowledge of shipping and international practices i.e. C/P terms, lay time calculations, BL requirements, insurance, etc.
· Hardworking, details oriented, fast learner, be accountable and a team player.
· Experience with Microsoft office software (Excel, Word, Adobe)
· Strong verbal and written communication skills in English, and 1 other language preferably either Mandarin or Bahasa Indonesia.
