• Project management of commissioned school works on AV facilities, including planning, liaising and coordination between various stakeholders (e.g. vendors, school users etc.)
• Other duties pertaining to the area of AV (e.g. trouble-shooting of PA system) when assigned by School Leaders, HOD/ICT, ICT Associate and AVA Club teacher-in-charge

Skills

• Have knowledge and be able to troubleshoot and provide advice for the following AV systems in school:

1. Various types of AV equipment e.g. visualisers, projectors, speakers, control panels, switchers, mixers.
2. AV systems in special rooms (e.g. auditorium) inclusive of sound control panels, microphone set ups, matrix system

• Preferably have experience in live-streaming, video conferencing or equivalent in a school environment
• Preferably be IT-savvy and possess good computer skills in order to seamlessly integrate audio-visual usage with school needs

Experience

• At least 2 years of working experience as an AV Executive or equivalent in schools
• Preferably have working experience in managing AV at events, functions and projects in school.
• Preferably have working experience in managing assets, maintenance and replacements in school.
• Preferably have working experience in providing training to staff and/or students on the use of AV equipment in school.
• Preferably has working experience in handling AV/ICT equipment in the school environment

Qualities

• Team-player and able to work with all levels of school staff (job scope includes supporting teachers in their work, e.g. setting up of visualisers, projectors, PA systems, live-streaming etc.)
• Possess a positive attitude and pleasant disposition
• Should be diligent and a fast learner, able to work independently with clear and minimal instructions

Contract Period: From 1st July 2024 to 30th June 2025

Working Hours: Mondays to Thursdays: 7:30am to 5:00pm, inclusive of 1 hour lunch break; Fridays: 7.30am to 4:30pm, inclusive of 1 hour lunch break

(Note: The AV Executive is expected to support the school in terms of school events that may take place beyond the school operating hours of weekdays, 7.00am – 7.00pm timeframe, e.g. on weekends or in the evenings. Time-off will be given if work is performed as required.)

Education

You will play a lead role in driving the overall process of ensuring that the design and development of multi-disciplinary interfaces among the different electrical and mechanical systems are compatible with the overall performance requirement. This process of managing the system interfaces and integration will be applied throughout from project design, construction and testing and commissioning phases to final completion.

You will also review technical submissions and participate in the construction, installation, testing and commissioning of these systems. You will assist Project Managers in resolving system design / system interface / site-related issues within a stipulated timeframe. You are required to manage, supervise, monitor and report project construction, testing and commissioning progress. In addition, you will assist Project Managers in preparing technical specifications, participate in tender evaluation, as well as conduct design review of new rail transit systems.

You will be involved in supervising the project implementation of Rail Communications System contracts for MRT projects. You will support the daily running of the site under guidance of the engineer/manager. You will conduct inspection of testing and commissioning activities to ensure that safety, progress, and quality of the work comply with the contract and regulatory requirements. You will be able to develop a good understanding of site supervision on safety and quality aspects. You will understand the requirements of project implementation, method of construction and review Method Statements submitted by the contractors to ensure compliance with the contract and LTA specifications.

You will play a lead role in managing power supply contractors in constructing transit projects and preferably have experience in underground MRT stations. You will be responsible for the safety, quality and progress of the contractors’ works. You will also assist the Senior Project Manager in planning and managing the cashflows of the various contracts as well as in issuing instructions and assessing variations/payments/claims.

During the course of your work, you will be expected to liaise with various parties such as project teams, contractors, designers and architects to ensure that the power supply to the transit systems is well co-ordinated. You will also liaise with the appointed Railway Operator in reviewing and addressing their feedback appropriately.
