Job Title/ Location: Manager/ Sr Chartering Panamax / Supramax

Job Outline:
Responsible for commercial and chartering through optimize vessel utilization, negotiate profitable agreements and navigate market complexities. Drive business development initiatives, build key industry relationships, and collaborate with high-performing team to ensure operational excellence and sustained growth in this dynamic and competitive market.
Key Responsibilities
§ End to end chartering, negotiate charter agreements to maximize profitability and mitigate risks
§ Efficient & productive planning of cargo fixtures with position merits- optimum engagement of cargo and vessel with profitability
§ Project market capitalization and formulating growth for the company in terms of additional tonnages and revenue earnings
§ Efficient voyage estimations, trade routes and charter rates finalization
§ Business Development: Growth in existing business & new business acquisition.
§ Customer relationship management within the Tata Group and other major Indian & global customers
§ Effective negotiation with existing & prospective customers
§ Cargo & vessel fixtures with profitability with overall accountability to the P&L account of the business vertical
§ Be the focal window representation between shipping company, Charterers, traders and head owner.

§ Identify and pursue new business opportunities, partnerships and collaborations in the focused market
§ Foster and maintain strong relationships with clients, brokers and industry stakeholders to increase market presence.
§ Implement effective risk management strategies to mitigate potential commercial and operational risks
§ Stay updated with industry developments, geopolitical factor, regulatory changes affecting the focused market
§ Administering fleet growth & business efficient deployment of risk management tools (bunker hedging, FFA hedging & physical hedging etc.)
§ Ensure compliance to relevant laws, regulations and protocols
§ Ensure adherence to the standard operating manual of the company at all times
Qualifications required:
Bachelors degree in buisness, maritime studies
Skill Sets required:
§ Strong understanding of market dynamics, vessel operations and industry regulations
§ Strategic thinker with ability to drive business growth
§ Negotiation and contract management
§ Analytical and problem solving skills
§ Strong inter personal and communication skills
Experience required:
§ Minimum 4-5 Years’ Work Experience in following businesses and or functional area:
§ Shipping (Bulk), Chartering, Commercial, Business Development, Marketing
§ Functional expertise in either Logistics, Procurement, Marketing & Sales Supply Chain Management
§Proven experience in chartering role within dry bulk industry with a compulsory focus on Indian Ocean trade is a must
