• Ensure timely closing of full set of accounts and accuracy in month-end financial and management reports for SBF Foundation and MigrantWell Singapore.
• Prepare quarterly forecast and annual budget and monitor against actual results.
• Monitor cashflow positions regularly and make recommendations for excess funds management.
• Reconcile entry and submission of donation records for tax deduction and issuance of tax-deductible receipts to donors.
• Liaise with external auditor and other governing bodies to ensure statutory requirements are met.
• Implement audit recommendations and maintain standard financial and administrative procedures.
• Liaise with Corporate Secretary for matters relating to ACRA filing, Board Members and Board Resolutions.
• Coordinate board/audit risk committee meetings including preparation of meeting agenda, papers and dissemination.
• Develop and/or update finance handbook and other corporate policies.
• Handle any other responsibilities and duties that may be assigned by the CEO from time to time.

Job Requirements

• Degree in Accounting or Finance with relevant work experience.
• Experienced in the social sector and familiar with the Charities Accounting Standards. Corporate Secretarial experience would be an advantage.

Purpose

• Drive execution of the global treasury strategy within own area of responsibility.

Principal Accountabilities

Act as a proactive business partner to identify opportunities for enhancing treasury effectiveness and commercial results

Executing global Treasury strategy, such as:

• Lead the execution of treasury related projects, including Centre and above-market initiatives.
• Advising on all aspects of treasury management.
• Optimise cash repatriation from End-markets to the centre.
• Solving problems of FX deficits and trapped cash within the DRBU, including the navigation of economic crisis situations
• Drive working capital initiatives.
• Enhance visibility and support the improvement of working capital management
• Ensure the central forecast cashflow reporting is delivered to the required quality
• Support the structuring and execution of market exits / simplifications.
• Support the on-going review concerning the capital structure and funding of legal entities, recommending and managing changes as appropriate, and including obtaining the relevant delegated authorities.
• Support the funding renewal process for End-markets.
• Support the digital treasury & banking agenda.
• Manage FX exposures across the Region and advise on appropriate actions.

Knowledge, Skills and Experience

• Financial, Mathematical or Science-based degree with related professional qualification (i.e. ACA/ACCA/CIMA/ACT). AMCT qualified or equivalent is strongly preferred.
• Minimum 4-8 years’ experience in a global FMCG or similar dynamic operating environment and a good understanding of the tobacco business
• Understanding and knowledge of relevant finance/Treasury tools and systems (SAP Treasury)
• Strong analytical skills, rational decision making / problem solving

About you:

• Possesses a Degree in Accounting or Business equivalent from a recognised university, or Professional Accounting qualification(s)
• More than 8 years of total work experience with min. 3 years and above of relevant experience in a technical accounting advisory role, preferably in a Big 4 accounting firm, with in depth knowledge of complex areas such as business combination, merger accounting, group restructuring, joint operations, share based payments, revenue recognition, service concession arrangements, financial instruments, derivatives and hedging (Note: Shortlisted applicants will be tested on technical knowledge during the interview)
• Strong in consolidation and must have previous experience in preparing complex consolidation entries for large groups rather than only having audited consolidation entries

• Write succinct, well-structured reports and have good command of written and spoken English
