The CIB Risk Initiatives Team sits within the COO office for the Corporate & Investment Banking (CIB) business.

The team provides CIB with capabilities to drive regulatory and risk programmes and initiatives across CIB businesses, working in an agile operating model with each segment and product area. Strategy/Business

• Oversee the programme portfolio, with accountability for the delivery of multiple large-scale regulatory change and risk programmes and initiatives.

The Manager of Risk & Governance will oversee internal controls, governance, and risk management to ensure regulatory compliance. Working closely with the Deputy Director of the Corporate Finance & Compliance team to implement all aspects of developing and implementing a robust risk management framework aligned with strategic goals. Collaborate with key stakeholders to identify and mitigate emerging risks and opportunities.

The ideal candidate will possess strong finance and operational acumen and experience in the non-profit sector, particularly with knowledge of the Charity Act and related regulations.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Regulatory Compliance

· Ensure full compliance with Singaporean laws, regulations, and guidelines, with a focus on charity governance, PDPA, statutory reporting, and other relevant areas.

Policies and Procedure Development & Implementation

· Develop and implement organization-wide policies and procedures, ensuring alignment with the organization’s mission, goals, and regulatory requirements.

· Collaborate with functional leaders to ensure policies are updated, consistent, and meet cross-functional needs.

· Provide regular updates and reports to senior management and the audit & risk committee on the progress and adherence to organizational standards.

Compliance Training and Awareness

· Develop and implement organization-wide policies and procedures, ensuring alignment with the organization’s mission, goals, and regulatory requirements.

· Collaborate with functional leaders to ensure policies are updated, consistent, and meet cross-functional needs.

· Provide regular updates and reports to senior management and the audit & risk committee on the progress and adherence to organizational standards.

Risk Management

· Design policies for monitoring and escalating risks, in collaboration with relevant departments.

· Identify and assess enterprise risks, implementing corrective actions and tracking mitigation efforts.

· Maintain documentation for enterprise risk management (ERM) processes.

Internal Audit

· Act as the liaison with external auditors, managing the audit schedule and coordinating with departments to ensure timely completion.

· Overseeing the development of internal audit plans with close coordination with the audit and risk committee.

· Review audit findings and track the implementation of recommendations, ensuring progress updates to senior management, audit and risk committee or board.

· Monitor the implementation of audit recommendations across departments, providing regular updates to senior management and the Audit & Risk Committee on progress and any challenges.

Governance Reporting

· Manage annual submissions of financial reports and governance documents to ensure compliance with the Charities Act.

· Prepare and maintain the Governance Evaluation Checklist in line with Charity Council requirements.

· Stay informed of new regulations, guidelines, and rules issued by the Charity Council or other regulatory bodies and advise senior management on necessary actions or adjustments to governance practices.

Enterprise, Social and Governance (ESG)

· Lead in the development and execution of ESG strategies aligned with the organization’s mission.

· Lead the collection and analysis of ESG data related to operations, volunteer engagement, and program effectiveness.

· Prepare annual sustainability reports for internal and external stakeholders.

Business Continuity

· Work with respective functions to identify key business functions, develop and maintain an up-to-date Business Continuity Plan (BCP) to ensure critical operations continue during disruption.

· Conduct regular BCP training and drills to ensure employees and volunteers understand their roles and test the effectiveness of the plan.

Others

· Support any ad-hoc projects as may be assigned from time to time.

Relevant Experience:

• Degree in Finance, Business Administration, Law, or a related field
• 7 years of working experience with 3 years in audit, risk management, compliance, or governance roles.
• Experience in the Social Service Sector preferred
• Strong knowledge of the Charity Act and relevant regulations

Function

• Ability to lead production with hands-on process control and chemical production knowledge and good understanding ISO, HACCP, Halal, Kosher, FSSC, RSPO audits to chemistry and process. With knowledge in emulsifiers / surfactants production will be a strong plus.
• Ability to lead the operational and production multicultural team with high efficiency and process improvements from raw materials to shipments.
• Ability to grow and groom an effective production team through recruitment, supervising, coaching, and mentoring a dedicated team.
• Site management and ensuring smooth running of operations & production. Hands-on and manage the overall maintenance program, raw materials, production / operations, quality aspects, licenses and all safety aspects of the site.
• Managerial level planning to execution as team lead from all aspects of operations and production, cost-to-produce / costings and evaluate as part of risk management / cost management scenarios.
• Familiar with scaling up (pilot plant) and process improvements and general maintenance from machinery parts to vessels and modifications management with vendors and purchases.
• Ability to develop operational instructions to process related and ensuring conformance to all aspects of operations and leading 3rd party service providers from conception to reality.
• Some laboratory experience will be useful in HPLC / GC will be a strong plus but is not a primary requirement.
• Support all relevant functions of the business, a strong team player for Excellence that includes other ad-hoc duties.

Knowledge, Skills and Requirements:

• Minimum Degree in Chemistry or Chemical Engineering and relevant more than 10 years’ experience in chemical production. Chemical Diploma holders with intensive bottom-up more than 15 years’ experience in chemical production and a high passion in production chemical / chemistry production experience and wanting to move into managerial challenge, would be considered.
• Relevant operational or production experience in chemical reactions process, planning & maintenance. Warehouse, order management to logistics, will be an added plus. Experience with downstream production of emulsions and mixes will be advantageous.
• Managerial skills and abilities to communicate with all levels of functions. Team lead, with a hands-on attitude and ability to lead cross culture and occasional shift-related production or as and when required and ensuring production process are timely planned to execution.
• Team player to support the business team and strong attitude towards growth challenges, with high imagination to improve production process efficiency.
• Skilled in computer software applications like Microsoft Word, Excel & PowerPoint and willingness to learn in finance related IT systems (Navision) and all aspects to achieve excellence in the role.

Responsibilities:

• Support Sales Designers on interior design scope of work
• Support Design team with space planning and concept development
• Provide macro strategic overview on managing projects

Requirements:

• Min 2-3 years of interior design experience, inclusive of site management experience in residential projects
