Role Responsibilities
Job Summary
· Drive growth of direct investments business for Private Bank partnering with key external providers to bring the right opportunities for clients
· Provide coverage for key clients to broaden relationship and deepen share of wallet via direct offerings
· Enhance RM and IA capabilities so they can discuss direct investment opportunities with their clients
· Work with key internal stakeholders (Markets, Solutions Partners, Wealth Management and other functional partners) to deliver the directs proposition in a safe and well-controlled manner on an end-to-end basis
Responsibilities
Strategy
· Define strategy to grow the Direct Investment business for the Private Bank with a differentiated and more comprehensive offering, in keeping with our strategy to pivot the business towards UHNW clients
· Demonstrate expertise in engaging UHNW clients with diverse and interesting direct investment solutions, and in building RM and IA capabilities to discuss these solutions with clients
Business
· Originate bespoke direct investment opportunities that are within the Bank’s target market and risk appetite, working with third-parties and key internal stakeholders
· Partner with front staff to propose, service and deliver direct investment solutions to our UNHW clients
· Deliver growth in financial metrics from UHNW clients, growing share of wallet by delivering holistic solutions to meet their investment needs beyond existing Capital Markets and Managed Investment offerings
· Be involved in the prospecting of new UHNW clients by showcasing direct solutions capabilities as appropriate
Processes
· Drive process improvements and middle/back capability development so we are competitive when it comes to bringing direct investment opportunities to clients
Risk Management
· Actively identify, escalate, mitigate and resolve risk and compliance matters in a timely manner.
· Do what is right to avoid reputational risks and operational losses.
· Understand the risk and control environment within area of responsibility and drive rectification as required.
· Handle customer issues, complaints, and product enquiries on timely basis in accordance with established procedures.
· Ensure that Risk Management matters that are brought to attention are subject to direct remedial action and/or ensure adequate reporting to the relevant Risk Committees and/or line management.
Governance
· Deliver effective governance, oversight and controls and highlighting gaps as appropriate
· Awareness and understanding of the regulatory framework in which the businessoperates, and the regulatory requirements and expectations relevant to the role.
Ensure adherence with the highest standards of ethics and compliance with relevant policies, processes and regulations forms part of the culture.

Our Ideal Candidate
· Academic or Professional Education/Qualifications – relevant degree
· Licenses and Certifications/accreditations – as required by role remit and responsibility
· 15 years of experience within Investment / Private Banking
· Demonstrate excellence in client service and management experience
· Strong ability to develop a network of target prospects
· Sound knowledge of financial markets and investment products
· Proven risk management capabilities
· Excellent problem-solving skills, handle complex situations with constructive solution identified.
· Firm in all business guidelines and compliance issues
· Outstanding communication and presentation skills
