General Summary
As the Club Manager, you are the driving force behind the success of our Anytime Fitness club. You will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of club operations, including revenue generation, staffing, training, member engagement, and ensuring a safe and welcoming environment. Your leadership and strategic vision will be pivotal in achieving business goals and fostering a vibrant fitness community.
Key Responsibilities
Operations Management:
· Efficiently manage day-to-day club operations, including opening and closing procedures.
· Ensure the club's cleanliness, maintenance, and safety standards are consistently met.
· Monitor equipment functionality and coordinate repairs or replacements as needed.
· Implement and enforce club policies and procedures to ensure a positive member experience.
Club Revenue:
· Develop and execute strategies to meet and exceed club revenue targets.
· Promote membership sales and retention through effective marketing and engagement efforts.
· Monitor and analyse financial performance, identifying areas for improvement.
· Collaborate with the sales team to drive revenue growth.
Staffing:
· Recruit, hire, and train club staff, including personal trainers and front desk personnel.
· Foster a positive and motivated team culture that promotes teamwork and exceptional customer
service.
· Conduct regular staff meetings and provide ongoing training and development opportunities.
· Manage staff scheduling and payroll in accordance with budgetary constraints.
Training:
· Implement training programs for staff, ensuring that all employees are well-versed in club operations, safety procedures, and customer service.
· Provide ongoing coaching and feedback to staff to enhance their performance and professional growth.
Member Engagement:
· Create and execute member engagement strategies to enhance the club experience.
· Develop and oversee club events, challenges, and fitness programs that promote member participation.
· Address member inquiries, concerns, and feedback promptly to ensure high member satisfaction.
· Monitor and improve member retention rates through targeted initiatives.
Safety and Security:
· Maintain a safe and secure environment for members and staff.
· Implement safety protocols and emergency procedures.
· Ensure access control and security systems are operational and effective.
Budget Management:
· Develop and manage the club's budget, optimizing resource allocation.
· Monitor club expenses and provide regular reports on budget performance.
· Implement cost-effective strategies to maximize ROI and manage financial sustainability.
Qualifications:
· Bachelor’s degree in business management, Sports Management, or a related field preferred.
· Previous experience in fitness club management or a related field is highly desirable.
· Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
· Proficiency in computer applications and fitness software.
· CPR and First Aid certification may be required.
· A passion for fitness and wellness is a plus.
Working Conditions:
· This role may require working evenings, weekends, and holidays.
· The Club Manager may need to be physically active and perform tasks related to club maintenance and member support.
