The successful incumbent will Assistant Director, Operations / Lead Reintegration Mentor in ensuring the smooth running of the daily operations at Selarang Halfway House (SHWH) or future new site at Cosford and is responsible for the safety and welfare of the residents and the overall security of the Halfway House premises. They will work closely with the SHWH Case Managers to aid residents with their reintegration back to society.

Major Duties and Responsibilities

1. Oversee security screening to ensure contrabands are not brought into the house.

2. Facilitate the daily operational routine of SHWH or future new site:

a) Ensure the day-to-day needs of the residents and operational requirements of the halfway house are being met.

b) Facilitate the process of residents checking in and out of the halfway house on a daily basis and provide daily updates on the headcount and other activities/incidents (if any) throughout the tour of duty. Any unusual movements should be highlighted and reported to the relevant parties.

c) To ensure that there is seamless transition during the handing and taking over of shift duties. The jobholder is also responsible in ensuring that all outstanding matters have been clearly communicated to the next duty personnel and are promptly followed up with.

d) Provide logistical support to residents during their stay in SHWH or future new site. To assist occasionally with carrying & moving of bulky/heavy items.

e) Conduct patrols and searches in the SHWH Living Units to ensure the safety of residents.

3. Work closely with Case Managers in the case management of residents, including monitoring and maintaining proper records on the progress, movement, and other relevant information pertaining to the residents.

4. Assist in handling any grievance procedure and carrying out preliminary investigation of incidents and/or disciplinary issues (when assigned).

5. Identify any defect(s) or work(s) to be carried out pertaining to the halfway house’s estate management issues during daily tour of duty and to feedback to Singapore Prison Service Corporate Services Team for follow up.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Provide support and assistance to nursing staff in the delivery of resident care services.
• Closely observe residents through frequent sounds and monitor residents' vital signs and report any abnormality to staff in-charge.
• Perform basic nursing duties such as, nasogastric feeding, bathing and toileting, wound dressing blood glucose monitoring, vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse and temperature.
• Feed, bathe and assist residents who have problems with mobility or are bedridden. Ensure safe transfer to and from bed and wheelchair.
• Assist and supervise the personal hygiene, oral toilet, bathing and grooming, eg. trim nails, changing diapers, etc.

Job Scope

• Coordinate with customer service team for transport and delivery arrangements
• Generate Job order for Drivers
• Liaise with Warehouse on forklift charges and raise PV for payment of forklift
• Handle schedule routing through in-house system
• Updating of customer service and sales teams on order delivery status
• Calculate monthly overtime for Drivers
• Maintain lorry profile, upkeep motor vehicles records

The incumbent will manage installation, maintenance, service, trouble-shoot and repair operations-related facilities and equipment, including automated sorters, conveyor systems, ULD handling equipment, lifting equipment, AGV system and manual equipment etc

• Support and participate in the installation and testing of all operations-related facilities and equipment during pre-operational phase.
• Carry out maintenance/servicing programs for operations-related facilities and equipment.
• Keep accurate maintenance records.
• Perform day-to-day checks of Hub’s automated and mechanical equipment to ensure their safety and serviceability.
• Work with external maintenance providers to ensure compliance with service level agreements.
• Provide instant response in the event of equipment failure.

• Control inventory level of the maintenance spare parts so as to optimize Hub’s operations with minimal operating costs.
• Knowledge of automated and mechanical material handling or process systems and related checking, maintenance / servicing concepts and methods.
• Knowledge of MS Office, Visio & Autocad; ability to produce and understand mechanical / electrical engineering drawings and maintenance instructions.
• Ability to diagnose and repair electrical and mechanical problems in automated and mechanical material handling or process systems, including adjustment /repair /replacement of components such as motors, gearboxes, bearings, rollers, pulleys, belt tracking, belt tensioning, pneumatic components, hydraulic components, etc.
• Ability to weld, solder and operate machinery typically used for repairing mechanical equipment / components.

Requirements:

• Minimum of 2 years’ hands on experience in installation, maintenance and repair of automated and mechanical material handling or process systems.
• Relevant vocational qualifications or Diploma in a relevant engineering discipline.
• Relevant engineer licenses in electrical / mechanical / maintenance engineering would be advantageous.
