Marine

1. Assist in coordinating, arranging and timely follow up Oil Major Vetting Inspections as directed.
2. Attend vessels to conduct Marine Inspections and pre-vetting inspections or vetting assistance as directed. Ensure follow-up of all deficiencies noted during vessel attendance is recorded and filed in the common drive.
3. Conduct annual onboard navigation audits, preferably during a short voyage. Input navigation audit results into the navigation audits database and follow up on all deficiencies and defects to closure.

2. Assist in periodical management review of ASL HSSEQ system, record findings from the reviews and propose actions if necessary.
3. Assist in maintenance and updating of the HSSEQ Management System.
4. A member of the internal Marine & HSSEQ audit team.
5. Assist in establishing annual ISM & ISPS audit plans, arrange and co-ordinate internal audits, take part in audits and follow-up correction actions.
6. Assist in the investigation and root cause analysis of accidents, marine casualties and near misses.

Job Description

• Develop a trusting relationship with your boarders, attend to their needs and issues.
• Manage discipline of boarders including safety and security of boarders.
• Contact point to parents and teachers for the team of boarders assigned.
• Develop and conduct boarding programs and activities.
• Perform all administrative work related to the role.
• Perform Duty-Mentor duties on weekends, school holidays and public holidays on a rotational basis.
• Perform room checks and follow up on defects rectification.
• Bring boarders to ICA, embassy for appointment and unwell boarders to clinic.
• Perform reception duties, show-room tours, escort vendors, as and when assigned
• Provide administrative, operational support or any other miscellaneous tasks as assigned by the Reporting Officer.
• Perform morning duties i.e. combing, medical clinic visits, absence and late reports etc when scheduled.

Requirements

• Minimum diploma holder with min 1-2 years of relevant working experience preferred. Those without experience may apply as training will be provided.
• Possess appropriate dispositions such as empathy towards students and managing the demands of the job.
• Good verbal and written communication skills, especially in English and Mandarin, to handle queries and concerns from Mandarin-speaking associates with regards to the programmes and activities matter.
• Organised, meticulous, and able to multitask
• Experience with boarding services and guiding youth will be a good fit for the role.
• Additional skill-sets like first-aid and mentoring students would be an added advantage.
• Residing within the Boarding residence is required and working hours are Mondays to Fridays from 3pm to 11pm and monthly weekend duties will be involved
