SPED TEACHER
JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
· Bachelor’s degree in Special Education or related field; teaching certification preferred.
· Prior experience of at least 2 years as a SPED Teacher or in a similar role is preferred.
· Strong interpersonal skills, adaptability, organization, and knowledge of special education regulations.
· Commitment to ongoing professional development.
JOB DETAILS:
Individualized Instruction and Support
· Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to each student’s needs.
· Use diverse teaching techniques to make curriculum accessible and support student success.
· Adapt lessons and assessments to engage students with varying abilities.
Student Progress
· Regularly assess and document student performance towards IEP goals.
· Use data to adjust instruction and provide targeted support.
· Communicate progress with students, parents, and relevant staff.
Professional Development
· Participate in ongoing professional development to improve teaching practices.
· Attend workshops, conferences, and training sessions, sharing insights with colleagues.
Program Implementation
· Support the implementation of school programs designed to enhance learning outcomes.
· Collaborate in designing and delivering intervention programs that align with school goals.
Collaboration with Teachers
· Work closely with general education teachers to adapt instruction for inclusive practices.
· Provide guidance on accommodations and integration strategies for special needs students.
· Participate in team meetings to support a cohesive approach to student education.
Report Submission and Documentation
· Complete and submit all reports and documentation accurately and on time.
· Maintain organized records of student progress, assessments, and IEPs.
· Document case notes, observations, and parent communications securely.
Attendance
· Maintain regular and punctual attendance to support a stable learning environment.
· Ensure presence during school hours and scheduled meetings.
