We employ an integrated systems biology approach, including development and application of lipidomics, to study the complex repertoire of bacterial lipids and aim to identify lipid metabolic networks which can be modulated for treatment of infections.

The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work with a multidisciplinary team of investigators in LKCMedicine, clinical and industry partners, as well as the wider lipidomics community, including the microbial lipids interest group. This position will expose the candidate to state-of-the-art technologies for lipidomics/ metabolomics, other leading edge research facilities in LKCMedicine and NTU and access to clinical samples, including bacterial isolates from human patients.

Key Responsibilities:

• Optimize bioanalytical workflows for lipid analysis of microbial and mammalian samples from laboratory and clinical sources
• Perform sample preparation and LC-MS/MS analysis
• Assist in maintenance and troubleshooting of HPLCs and mass spectrometers
• Routine operation of LC-MS/MS
• Assist in processing and quality control of lipidomics data

Key Competencies and Requirements:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Biomedical Sciences, Life Sciences, Bioengineering, Analytical Chemistry related disciplines
• 1-2 years of working experience in bioanalysis using LC-MS, but recent graduates with the right aptitude will be considered
• Hands-on experience with operation and troubleshooting of high performance liquid chromatography mass spectrometer(s) preferred

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform inspections on raw materials, intermediates and finished products by conduct sensory evaluation, carry out physical, analytical tests to ensure compliance with specifications and standards.
• Document non-conformance and conduct investigations on customers’ complaint samples or rejected items (Internal & External).

The incumbent will collaborate closely with Country Managers, Regional Sales Managers, and Clinical Specialists to deliver exceptional program support by leading all Biosensors SH initiatives. The SH Clinical Regional Manager will support all aspects of structural heart cases, including pre-case planning and recommending patient treatments. Acting as a trusted advisor, the manager is recognised as a clinical sales expert by the heart team and is expected to provide comprehensive support for Structural Heart cases.
