Roles and Responsibilities:
1. Operations Management:
Manage all aspects of the restaurant's daily operations, including opening and closing procedures, staffing, and inventory management.
Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and uphold cleanliness standards throughout the restaurant.
Monitor food quality and presentation, addressing any issues promptly to maintain customer satisfaction.
Implement and enforce company policies and procedures to maintain consistency and efficiency.
2. Staff Management:
Recruit, train, and supervise restaurant staff, including servers, kitchen staff, and support personnel.
Create staff schedules, taking into account business demand and staff availability, ensuring adequate coverage for all shifts.
Provide ongoing coaching and performance feedback to employees, fostering a positive and productive work environment.
Handle employee conflicts or disciplinary issues professionally and according to company policies.
3. Customer Service:
Ensure that all guests receive exceptional service and address any customer concerns or complaints promptly and professionally.
Interact with customers to gather feedback and make improvements to service and offerings as needed.
Maintain a welcoming and hospitable atmosphere in the restaurant, greeting guests and assisting with seating or other requests.
4. Financial Management:
Monitor financial performance indicators, such as sales, expenses, and profitability, and implement strategies to achieve financial goals.
Control costs by managing inventory levels, portion sizes, and waste, and optimizing staffing levels to maximize efficiency.
Prepare and analyze financial reports, including budgets, P&L statements, and forecasts, to track performance and identify areas for improvement.
5. Marketing and Promotions:
Collaborate with marketing team to develop and implement promotional activities and marketing campaigns to attract new customers and retain existing ones.
Utilize social media platforms and other marketing channels to engage with customers and promote the restaurant's offerings and events.
Quickly adapt to changing circumstances or unexpected challenges, such as staffing shortages or equipment malfunctions, to ensure smooth operations.
6. Flexibility and Adaptability:
Be willing to work flexible hours, including weekends, public holidays, and night shifts, to accommodate the demands of the business.
