Fellowship in Vascular Surgery

The Department of Cardiac, Thoracic and Vascular Surgery, National University Hospital is seeking candidates for our fellowship in Vascular Surgery under National University Heart Centre, Singapore. We are a 1,400 bed hospital with full range of vascular surgery services. There are 6 Consultant surgeons in the vascular division. We have an aortic center which offer full range of open, endovascular as well as hybrid surgery and both cardiac and vascular surgeons worked closely together. The vascular unit performs over 1,600 procedures in all aspect of vascular surgery. The fellowship will be at registrar/senior registrar level and you are expected to do on call at frequency of 1:4 Rota to 1:5.

We welcome international candidates who have previous vascular experience and looking for further opportunities to enhance their vascular and endovascular skills. As we are an academic unit of vascular surgery, fellows are expected to participate in research and teaching. Depending on candidates’ previous skills set, we offer basic, intermediate and advanced vascular fellowships. As the successful candidate, you will manage the Controlling Solutions team, which aims to facilitate financial and operational reporting for a variety of internal stakeholders via BI tools such as Oracle Analytics Cloud (OAC). What you'll do

• Manage a team of three Business Controllers who focus on building reporting dashboards and operational reports via OAC. Mentor and coach direct reports and wider Business Controlling & Analytics team
• Be a key custodian of the organisation’s KPI framework and manage the end-to-end flow of report requests enabling end-users across the organisation to make informed decisions with the right tools at the right time
• Work closely with end-users to collect and understand reporting requirements, and with IT teams to prepare data models and deliver compelling reports and dashboards
• Coordinate the preparation of financial figures for month-end reporting and con-tribute to the overall reporting package for upper management
• Contribute extensively to the Budget & Forecast process, notably by coordinating ETLs between the financial systems and reporting deliverables, supporting end users, and working closely with Business Controlling team
• Lead digitalization projects to standardize, simplify and/or automate processes and reporting
• Supervise maintenance of the cost centre structure in financial systems to align with changes in the business and reporting requirements
• Present analysis results to all levels in the organisation and train end users in BI tools
• Be an expert in systems used for reporting and budgeting purposes
