• Carry out risk assessments of own activities and practicals as requested by teachers, seking advice when neccessary;
• Provide advice on safe practice and monitoring activities to ensure there are followed;
• Assist in the management, use, and provision of resources, including books and teaching materials;
• Maintain class sets of laboratory resources (including stationery);
• Service and clean equipment and resources as required;
• Carry out stocktaking of equipment, chemicals and stationery, in order to maintain appropriate stock of apparatus and consumables;
• Fix broken Science equipment. If not possible, organize for it to be fixed or replaced;
• Monitoring access to science laboratories and prepare areas;
• Attend additional training as required;
• All other duties commensurate with the post.

The successful candidate will possess:

• A minimum 'N' Levels, including Science subjects, or equivalent;
• Experience of working in laboratory setting or similar would be an advantage but not neccessary;
• The ability to follow procedures and guidelines;

Tasks & responsibilities

· Handle full spectrum of Accounts (General Ledger)
· Support our Sales team on the project purchasing and billing.
· Prepares monthly and yearly closing of accounts.

· Maintain full set of accounts for various companies, ensuring timely and accurate reporting of financial statements in accordance with IFRS and company accounting policy;

· Provide guidance and supervisory to accounting support staff;

· Prepare financial management report, statutory report, analysis and reconciliation;

· Manage intercompany billing and reconciliation;

· Able to manage external auditors and overseeing the audit;

· Responsible for the accounting file management for the companies assigned, including the historic files;

· Work closely with Group finance team for accounting, control, reporting and compliance matters; including overseas subsidiaries and related companies;

· Monitor actual spending vs approved vessel budget and prepare monthly management reports and analyse major variances

· Manage annual audit and liaising with external auditors;

· Support any ad-hoc projects and tasks from time-to-time as required.

REQUIREMENTS:

· Diploma in Accounting or ACCA level 2 equivalent;
