• Developing a project plan and managing the schedule, budget, and team members’ time sheets to ensure completion of the project within the specified time frame
• Communicating with clients and stakeholders to ensure they are aware of project status and any potential problems or delays
• Ensuring compliance with all laws, regulations, and best practices for safety and environmental concerns
• Managing procurement activities, including ordering raw materials and equipment, arranging for shipping and delivery schedules, and negotiating prices with vendors

Ensure standards and requirements are met through conducting quality assurance tests

· Create a safe working environment for employees by putting in place safety measures to prevent accident and complications that may arise during work. Also provide safety gear to employees for protection in the event of accidents

· Supervise activities of workers to ensure that they are hands-on in order to promote hard-work, which is needed for successful deliveries and completion of production tasks to meet clients’ demands and deadlines

· Inspect goods to be delivered to ensure that they are in the right quantity and quality. Supervise the loading of such goods into vehicles for delivery

· Liaise with transportation companies to create a good working relationship to be able to strike good negotiations for transportation of goods, and to prevent hiccups that may arise

· Give vivid directions and guidelines to shipping agents about nature of goods and delivery locations, and maintain communication with them to ensure that goods are not damaged on transit

· Prepare invoice for orders and deliveries as part of record keeping measures and evidence of transaction

· Help in recruiting competent and hardworking workers to carryout daily operations at the organization and put them through in discharging their duties

· Ensure that workers adhere to industry standards in dealing with clients, to promote rule of law and avoid practices such as smuggling and overloading to avoid accidents which could lead to loss of lives and properties

· Assign different responsibilities to workers to fasten the job and promote specialization and accountability. This way, non hardworking workers can easily be identified

Kiihold is a fabrication company primarily serving the rock climbing industry. We are welcoming part-timers to support climbing volume production. The work involves plywood processing, sanding, coating and other assembly tasks.

Commitment is flexible, experience is preferred but not required.

Part-time rate is $8/hr onwards, determined by experience and proficiency. Non-part-time arrangements are welcome for discussion.

Job Responsibilities:

Review of contractual documents and technical specifications

To assist the Senior Project Engineer/Manager to conduct kick-off, pre-project/project meetings to ensure team members are clear on the objectives, deliverables, quality, lead-time, complexities and carry out the project execution and contingency plan, if any

Plan and assist Senior Engineer/Manager to monitor the daily progress of activities to achieve on or before schedule, ie. by comparing the planned vs actual progress status, identify critical activities, improvements and/or contingency plans if any

Attend site meetings, interacting with clients, understanding their needs and requirements, and representing them to the team

Work together with clients and translate their requirements into an actionable plan with the team

Work closely and communicate effectively with project manager and/or other project team members to create and deliver quality solutions for the clients

Liaise with stake holders/vendors to ensure project meet the requirements, specifications and achieve within schedule as per the plan

Coordinate and liaise with Classification bodies as project specifications for inspections and surveys when required

Involve in technical meetings and assist in preparation of documents for submission

Furnish drawings and documentations/reports to clients as requested

Assist in resolving engineering/ technical issues, coordinating with the respective engineering support units

Plan, execute, monitor on the work progress based on project timeline and budget

Keep track of project status, prepare and submit weekly/monthly progress reports as required

Assure all deadlines are met

Responsible to run the operations of projects as assigned

Preparation of documents as and when required, such as progress data, hand over status, close-out reports etc

Ensure final acceptance of the project by client in accordance with contractual requirements

Carry out other duties as and when assigned by immediate superior or higher management.

Job Requirements:

Min Diploma/Degree in Mechanical/Electrical/Engineering or its equivalent
