The Visiting Professor will collaborate with PAP colleagues to work in the area of nanophotonics, especially in Deeply Subwavelength Superoscillatory Imaging (DSSI), including the fabrication and characterization of nanometer sized feathers, generating diffraction images. Using both experimental results and simulated images as training data, obtain optical images with picometer resolution via deep learning. He/she will get involved with collaborated research in the programme level (NRF-CRP) with PAP colleagues, as well as explore collaborations with colleagues from other Schools within NTU.

The candidate should have at least 15 years of experience in cutting edge nano-photonics, plasmonics, especially in superoscillatory imaging technologies, as well as expertise in AI and deep learning . He/she should be also able to fabricate photonic devices using electron-beam lithography and focus ion beam. The role will be working as part of a global high-performance team focused on continuous Cloud network infrastructure delivery utilizing Terraform to deploy IaC and Azure DevOP’s pipeline to meet the needs of the business in terms of deployments of services that need to be consumed or to enhance the current cloud deployment. There will also be a requirement to deploy and manage other cloud technologies, such as GCP, OCI and AWS.

How you will do it:

• Azure Landing Zone Design: Collaborate with architects and other teams to design and implement Azure Landing Zones that adhere to best practices for security, compliance, and governance.
• Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Develop and maintain Infrastructure as Code using Terraform to automate the provisioning and management of cloud resources.
• Azure DevOps Integration: Integrate Azure DevOps into the CI/CD pipeline to automate deployments and ensure smooth operations of cloud network resources.
• Network Configuration: Design and implement network configurations, including Virtual Networks (VNets), Network Security Groups (NSGs), ExpressRoute, and VPN gateways.
• Monitoring and Optimization: Implement monitoring solutions for network performance, troubleshoot issues, and continuously optimize the network for cost and performance efficiency.
• Security and Compliance: Ensure that the cloud network infrastructure complies with security policies, industry standards, and best practices. Implement security measures and contribute to threat detection and response strategies.
• Documentation: Maintain clear and comprehensive documentation of network configurations, IaC scripts, and processes.
• Collaboration: Work collaboratively with other engineering teams and provide technical support and guidance to ensure smooth integration of applications and services into the cloud network.

What we look for:

• Proven experience in designing and implementing Azure Landing Zones and network infrastructure within Microsoft Azure.

In this role, you will provide support to the Engineer / Plant Manager and work together with the Operations team to achieve operational excellence in a wastewater treatment facility and related infrastructure within a client site.

Job Description:

• To have good knowledge of wastewater treatment including pre-treatment, biological treatment, sludge separation and related applications in a wastewater treatment plant.
• Develop, maintain and optimise all process documents including SOP, RA, training material, etc.
• Evaluate and troubleshoot any equipment or process problems that affect the operation target of the Plant.
• Support environmental compliance by monitoring all the plant inlet, operating and effluent data to ensure corrective action is taken when needed.
• Perform operational duties in the plant in accordance with SOP’s and training including assisting with water sampling and analysis, loading, dosing, unloading and maintenance as required.
• Assist in studying processing schedules, engineering recommendations, and lab analysis results to determine sound changes in process unit control in order to achieve target throughput.
